Answer:	This will be a perfect solution for that application as long as your Cadillac will work with a smart charger (consult your instruction manual). Just plug this unit in in the garage and connect it to your battery and the charger will do the rest.

Answer:	No. Battery chargers will charge the battery AND help you start the car.
Question:	Is this 1 person set
Answer:	It is a three stage charger. Unfortunately it is badly implemented. I can tell you that if you want to know what the voltages are at each stage you won't be happy with this unit. It does not seem to follow standard lead acid charging protocol. A case of trying to make it so smart that it became dumb. Hope that helps. If not, I've written a review that is more detailed that you may find usefull.
