Answer:	I haven't. But I have had one of those mall kiosk people use a flat iron on my hair and do it both straight and curled. I just never tried it! It's kind of wide, I think 1 1/2 inches so might not work too good. I think a 1 inch would work better.

Answer:	You can't get one. It's a design flaw. The reservoir is over the heating eliment so it heats up and cracks. The best steam straightener is 'BabylissProTT' it's white. I have 3 and all 3 are over a year old and I love them. $69 at bed bath beyond. You can't buy it off their web site only in a store. If you print a picture of one off line you can go in to any store. If your store doesn't have one and they look up other store inventory it can be shipped to you or store. You just have to pay up front for it. I had one sent to daughter in Kentucky. Answer:	I'm not sure how it would work for you. My hair is pretty curly when it's short and then wavy when it's long and heavier. The iron does smooth it out, but it's still not a sleek salon look. I hope that helps!

Question:	One person said that you have to use only distilled water with this; is that accurate? Why would there be a problem using regular tap water
Answer:	My original response was based on my 2012 Model GS23, and thanks to a comment on my answer, it needs to be revised. I see the newer GS23R model's instructions (available online) do say to use distilled water to prevent mineral deposits in the boiler that can reduce performance or clog the water system. I guess Conair may have had reports of clogs (or modified the newer model) and changed their instructions. (Original answer: The instructions that came with mine say "Open the inlet cover and fill the reservoir with everyday tap water (filtered water may reduce hard water problems)." I've been using tap water for 4 years, it's used about once a week, and it still works fine, no problems.)

Answer:	I have been using this steamer for about three months now, at least weekly. Most of my pants and shirts are cotton, made in India and steam better than ironing. Have had no problems, I use distilled water, and I absolutely would recommend this steamer to anyone. I have had different ones in the past, and I by far like this one the best. I love the attachments that come with it as well.
Question:	I only used my steamer once. I tried using it few days ago and it won't steam. It heats up, light turns green, it just won't produce any steam
Answer:	THE FIX: My device stopped working after first refill. Both lights were on and it made continous grinding sound, but no steam. Here's how I fixed it. No disassemly is required. No need to flush it with vinegar either unless it was used heavily for months. The problem is likely that air bubbles get in a line inside the steamer's handle which leads from a reservoir to a pump. Water pump is not powerful enough to create vacuum to dislodge the bubbles. 1. Fill the reservoir completely with distilled water. Make sure to top it off. The idea is to have as little air inside a reservoir as possible. Put the reservoir back in place. 2. Turn the steamer upside down. That way gravity helps water to clear air bubbles and get to the pump. Make sure to point the steamer away from hands, faces, cats, etc. while holding it in this awkward position. 3. Turn on the steamer. Tap the steamer repeatedly, not too lightly, but not too hard. This helps to dislodge air bubbles. 4. If you're lucky, after 10-15 seconds the sound from the steamer will change and it will start producing steam.
Question:	My product stopped working and it wont produce steam even with green light on. Any clues on how to fix this
Answer:	My device wouldn't produce steam after just one use and a year in storage. So, from on-line reading, I figured the problem was an airlock (bubbles of water) trapped in the internal tube. It is otherwise heating and light indications are normal. So I let it cool, pulled out the water reservoir and placed it head down into the bath sink (do ensure the device is unplugged, cooled for this step). Take about three or four inches of aquarium air hose tubing (you can purchase it at pet supply). It's about 1/8 or 3/16 inside diameter. Push one end over the water supply inlet, inside the cavity where the water reservoir normally sits. Now take a medium to small size syringe. Fill it with water (best the pure kind you purchase at pharmacies - well you might just try air alone). Now forcibly use the syringe to flush a solid stream of water through the device internal tubing. Stand the travel steamer up. Removed the improvised maintenance hose. Fill the water reservoir and replace it. Now turn your steamer on, let it heat the required time and steam away. It worked like a charm in my case - steamed mightily. I am saving my bit of resourced tubing and the medium plastic syringe - with instructions - and storing it with my steamer device, since I only use it every six months or more. I know it will air or water bubble lock the next time round. I will be ready.

Answer:	The steam gets extremely hot and could burn you quickly. You need to be very careful.

Answer:	The height is adjustable. The maximum height of the spot where the hanger would hook is 5' 1" from the floor (this includes the base). Take into account that a normal hanger will reduce the height where the garment would hang by several inches. I use a separate hanging apparatus on the back of a door to hold clothes at a more comfortable height to work with. I wouldn't let the height deter you though it is a great buy.
Question:	Is there a water additive to make the clothes smell fragrent
Answer:	Use 1 teaspoon of fragrant liquid fabric softener in a gallon of distilled water. Make sure it's fully dissolved before using it.

Answer:	The product is sturdy; however, it is top heavy when both the steamer handle and clothing are hung with the steamer pole extended to the highest position. If you lower the pole setting and avoid the temptation of using it as a hanger, you won't find any issues with it tipping over. Keep in mind though that if it does tip over, the reservoir will fall out and leak some water on the floor.

Answer:	The only difference between the two radios is the Road Trip comes with a mag mount antenna. They both come with a DC power adapter for use in a vehicle. Get the HH 38 and buy your own antenna which will be the real deal CB antenna. Also, I think the logo on the RoadTrip version is juvenile.

There is a telescoping antenna that works better, or you can get an adapter at Radio Shack and use a high quality magnetic roof antenna on your car...But Cobra hand-helds don't put out more than 2 watts. I tested it on a 35 foot antenna and picked up someone at about 1 1/2 miles...That's about it. If you want some power get a Boefeng Ham radio (about $40) ar a Magnum 357 HP EXPORT RADIO, that has about 80 watts, and Ham and CB frequencies, and a Ham Operators License. But Boefeng doesn't pick up CB channels... A Uniden 520XL CB from Wall Mart works very well for $39 with a good magnetic roof antenna on your car...The Hand-Held CB's just don't have much power, nor the necessary antenna... All CB's are rated at 4 watts, so if you are looking at an expensive CB, forget it, You're not getting any more transmit power. Get a cheap Uniden 520 XL 4 watts, or get something with power like a Magnum 357HP (80 watts) and set it up for all channels with a good antenna...

Answer:	YES you use rechargeable batteries and YES you can charge them inside the radio. There are two power jacks on the side of the radio. One for power to run off a car cigarette lighter plug or any 12v power supply, and a second for charging. This radio will not work with it plugged into "Charge" jack only ( it bypasses the transmitter and rec.). If you want to use radio and charge at the same time you will need two power plugs. One to run it and one to charge..or just cut 'em off and splice together to same power source!). Almost any or all power supplies found here on amazon will have multiple hookups. Even at only 4-5 watts, with a good antenna like the k40 on your car roof or base station antenna on house roof you will be able to talk for miles. CB is dead nowadays except for a few truckers every now and then so can can expect much better performance than a few years ago.

Answer:	I bought this one a few weeks ago and I love it. It does everything I need it to, quickly and with very little effort. Quick and easy to put together and get started.

Answer:	I don't have this steamer, but I imagine the instructions say distilled water is best. Cost about a dollar or less per gallon. Distilled water has been evaporated and then condensed back into liquid form. This means it doesn't have calcium and other minerals in it that will form deposits in the unit.

Answer:	I would only recommend distilled water. If you use the tap water, the minerals will collect in the boiler, and then you will have deposits on your clothes, and a reduced life of the product.

Answer:	I have no idea about scuba air filters. I have used this material to create home made air filters that I’ve 3D printed for face masks. They work well for that. Cant get up to the performance of the manufactured 3M cartridges. But I’m getting close. If the high pressure cartridge you’re using just requires unscrewing the capsule and pouring out the old material to pack in some more; then possibly. Im less likely to use a DYI solution when it comes to air flow and a submerged environment for my filtration.
