Answer:	The large plate weights 1 pound 10 ounces. The salad plate and bowl both weight 10 ounces. As an example of weight difference my ceramic dinner plate weights 1 pound 15 ounces. Not the light weight Corelle ware of 12.5 ounces. A plastic ware dinner plate from Hefty weighs 1.9 ounces . Hope this helps.

Answer:	The plate itself will not get hot from the microwave. But the heat from the food will get hot and transfer heat to the plate. Don’t fill the plate to capacity and you should be fine. And of course remove it quickly before the heat dissipates to the plate.

Answer:	You should be able to contact the company directly. When I received my CERT one plate was broken and they shipped one out immediately. That being said, another one of the plates has subsequently broken but I did not try to replace it as it is out of the Amazon replacement window.

So claiming thinsulate doesn't mean a whole lot unless it lists the grams.

Regarding purchasing individual pieces separately they recommended (https://www.replacements.com) Replacements LTD. They specialize in all types and styles of individual china and dinnerware. The cost for 1 dinner plate from this set is $9.99 each or $40.00 for 4. I just bought an additional set here on amazon for $53.99. Made more sense to buy the whole set for 13 dollars more than 4 extra plates would be to me any way. Hope this helps! I love this set by the way the colors are true to form and very nice.

Answer:	I don't know stoneware but, I'd say the large dinner plates are thick and the smaller dessert plates are thin like corelle. My family uses the smaller plates everyday for sandwiches or fruit or snacks. We love them!

Answer:	I have never seen any additional serving pieces for this set, but I love these plates especially--they double as "platters" for those of us who like to eat dinner in front of the TV! Yes, I admit it; retired folks like to have meals together and watch TV. The small squares are perfect for snacks, especially my favorites of veggie dippers and hummus or ranch dip. Even though there aren't matching serving pieces, the beautiful part about this everyday set is that any French White serving pieces will work. You should know that they are not particularly microwave friendly; food just doesn't heat up properly on them. I'm so glad they are available again because I have one or two platters with chipped edges and I want to add to the set. Yes, the edges are fragile.
