If you had to hold the plate, the hand is big enough theoretically to use one to scoop up some salad like a big spoon, but to get the most effective use, you need to have one in each hand and scoop the salad onto a plate that is stationary.

Made from bamboo powder and crop stalks, our materials and waste materials can be reused and are biodegradable. The fantastic colors are achieved using natural food grade dyes. And unlike discarded plastics that are mounting up in landfills, bamboo fiber will break down when buried in soil and exposed to long term moisture. Question:	Could these be used to hold & burn candle wax
Answer:	Good question. Although I have not tried to do this myself, I personally would not use it for this. Even though wax only needs low heat to melt, no one (besides the manufacturer) knows if the coating on the bowls will react to heat (like give off fumes) and if the prolonged exposure to heat will discolor or weaken the wood over time. I suppose you could recoat and reseal the bowl with something that makes it heat resistant but I have not tried this. Usually wax melt bowls are metal or ceramic and not wood. Just my $0.02 cents.
