Switch the safety lever to middle position to use, the shears opening angle will be limited by the lock and will not be separated unintentionally, keeping you safe.

Answer:	I wasn't aware of a price difference. I have the satin box. I'm certain that the shears are identical.

Answer:	The Company Heirloom Culinary is in the USA, but I'm not sure where the shears are made. They've been promising me a replacement pair since April 2020, just FYI.

Answer:	No, not easily, and they’re obviously not intended to come apart like typical shears— these are sturdy, quality scissors. They clean up well and I’ve never had a problem with food getting embedded between the blades and/or handle.

Answer:	They cut very well, nice heavy duty item. I have used them several times, cleaning the chicken off wasn't hard to do but I don't remember all the details
