Answer:	Officially, being bamboo, it is advised to be hand wash the boards. I mostly follow this, but for the second largest (medium) one. This one is used the most in my kitchen and I throw it into the dishwasher (top rack) about twice a week. No issues.

Question:	What is the weight? Product info says 2.89 ounces but some reviews say it is heavy
Answer:	I ordered mine a couple years ago, so I don't remember the weight on the package lable, but I assure you, IT IS NOT 2.89 OZ. Picking mine up, it weighs approx. 5-6 lbs. It is a heavy cutting board. It stays put on the counter and doesn't slide around like most other boards. Yes it's expensive, but well worth the money, especially if you cook alot of roasts, turkeys or hams. I buy many meats in large weights from our local butcher and breakdown the meats myself - it saves me alot of money that way, and this butcher block is perfect for that, as well as all other cutting needs. Question:	How does this hold up to being antibacterial and water resistance like teakwood
Answer:	Sturdy and good looking board with grated surface holds meat for carving. Only used it twice so far but bamboo is suppose to be antibacterial. Never used teakwood. Wash off with soapy water, rinse and then dry. Don't soak board. Also apply mineral oil as needed.
Question:	How do you clean it after cutting up raw chicken, can you use bleach? Any other suggestions
Answer:	I only use this for red meat that has been cooked. It is a nice presentation for guests. I clean it with hot soapy water and a brush. I think cleanup is too much work to use for raw meat. I recommend Epicurean boards that can go in the dishwasher for that.
