Question:	Are the black handles oven proof with temps upwards of 300 degrees
Answer:	According to the pamphlet, the stainless steel pot is oven safe up to 350 degrees and the lid up to 270 degrees. I have not used it in the oven, only stovetop.
Question:	Can this be used on glass flat top stove
Answer:	Works fine, details here now describe it works on Induction units. Most thick bottom pans today work on Induction stoves because they use Tri-Metal technology or get a layer of magnetic metal added to their base & they work well. Mainly it's all aluminum/alloy pans that have issues as they are not magnetic. Any pan a magnet sticks to their bottom of works on glass top Inductive stoves fine.
Question:	So is this pot 21 qt or 18.5? And it would have to be taller than 9" to can quart jars. True size, please
Answer:	For storage purposes: The pan from countertop to rim is 9 7/8”, with the lid “inverted for storage” 10” (inches) tall. Currently rearranging cabinets and adjusting shelves to fit this monster!
Question:	Has anyone tried this 12 qt stockpot on an induction cooktop
Answer:	I have used a 16 quart, 20 quart, and 26 quart stock pot on the induction plate to make large amounts of chicken soup, and different stocks. It works wonderful. Enough room to add homemade noodles to that soup.

Answer:	Yes; twist the lid properly on the pegs, and it will lock to drain.

Answer:	The 18/10, 18/8 refers to the chromium and nickel content of the material. These numbers indicate the 304 grade of stainless. The 18 is the percentage of chromium and the 8 is the amount of nickel in the metal, by percentage. The 10 indicates 10%. There has to be a minimum of 50% iron and no more than 0.8% carbon. The nickel adds strength, with 8% being slightly less durable than the 10%. There are other elements that go into the making of stainless steel. This pot has an aluminum core with the stainless being built around that. The aluminum allows for better heat transfer. I will go out on a limb here. Without being able to contact Farberware, I believe the pot has the 18/8 because the manufacturer did not state the actual percentage. I have had my pot for almost a year. It could not be any better unless I had two of them. It has served me very well. John

Answer:	It's microfiber material covering a soft sponge, you can use it to wash whatever you want. Your dishes, your body parts, your dog, your kids. Whatever your mind can think of I'm sure it will wash it, will it do a good job or make it easier I have no idea, I use it for applying wax.
Question:	For the 19-quart, how high is the pot withOUT the lid
Answer:	I don't know about the warranty. I've had 2 of these and abused both using them to inject adhesive under linoleum and they worked well. I would think that if used for their intended purpose they would work great and last a long time. I would check with the vendor for a replacement.

Answer:	I just used it again yesterday and it fits properly and works fine. I Don know why your is not fitting properly. Maybe it's missing the the washer on the needle.
