Answer:	a 3.5 pound chicken takes about an hour (25 minutes on high heat + 30 minutes for a natural steam release). You could probably fit up to a 4.5 pound chicken.

Question:	So I brought the aura pro just realized it doesn't have the pressure cooker how long does it take to cook a roast dinner in this one
Answer:	The answer someone gave that they cooked a pot roast and vegetables in one hour is questionable. Perhaps if the meat was cut into very thin slices, it could work, though it’s doubtful that hard vegetables like carrots & potatoes would be done. In a slow cooker, the “high” temperature is still very low at 300°. For tender meat, especially large pieces like pot roast, and hard vegetables, you must cook it several hours on high or many hours on low (or a combination of both high and low). The high setting for 1 1/2 to 2 hours is equivalent to 15-30 minutes in a moderate (350°) oven. I’ve used slow cookers for 30 years. They are not fast, as their name implies!
Question:	is the inner pot heavy stoneware or a lighter material
Answer:	If it helps any, I have a Nesco Roaster & the inner pot to it is lightweight & ceramic coated. It roasts & cooks some of the best pork, beef, poultry. I'm reading up on the newest Instant Pot releases myself. I like this Aura & also the Gem but would like to know the maximum pound size these take. The only reason I'm looking to replace the Nesco with an IP roaster is to have better temperature setting. Nesco has a knob with far too much 'play' in the turn. I want more precise roast setting ability.
Question:	What is the sous vide temperature range? the range lists 250f, but i'm not cooking steak to 250f
Answer:	131 is the golden number. I cooked a turkey breast at 131 after injecting it with a spicy butter garlic mix for 24 hours. I cook all my steaks at 131 for 4 hours and my chicken the same... that is the magic number for at least 4 hours but turkey and pork are 24+ hours. For the turkey breast, I filled the bag with oil so the temperature would distribute evenly in the bag. As long as you get all the air out.
Question:	How difficult is it to clean this compared to non stick
Answer:	To help clean it if you have a hard mess. Put 4 cups of water in the pan and set it on the steam function for 15 or so minutes.

Question:	Does it have wifi feature
Answer:	The answer someone gave that they cooked a pot roast and vegetables in one hour is questionable. Perhaps if the meat was cut into very thin slices, it could work, though it’s doubtful that hard vegetables like carrots & potatoes would be done. In a slow cooker, the “high” temperature is still very low at 300°. For tender meat, especially large pieces like pot roast, and hard vegetables, you must cook it several hours on high or many hours on low (or a combination of both high and low). The high setting for 1 1/2 to 2 hours is equivalent to 15-30 minutes in a moderate (350°) oven. I’ve used slow cookers for 30 years. They are not fast, as their name implies!
Question:	Does the instant pot max have usda approval for pressure canning
Answer:	If it helps any, I have a Nesco Roaster & the inner pot to it is lightweight & ceramic coated. It roasts & cooks some of the best pork, beef, poultry. I'm reading up on the newest Instant Pot releases myself. I like this Aura & also the Gem but would like to know the maximum pound size these take. The only reason I'm looking to replace the Nesco with an IP roaster is to have better temperature setting. Nesco has a knob with far too much 'play' in the turn. I want more precise roast setting ability.
Question:	Does it sterilize
Answer:	131 is the golden number. I cooked a turkey breast at 131 after injecting it with a spicy butter garlic mix for 24 hours. I cook all my steaks at 131 for 4 hours and my chicken the same... that is the magic number for at least 4 hours but turkey and pork are 24+ hours. For the turkey breast, I filled the bag with oil so the temperature would distribute evenly in the bag. As long as you get all the air out.
Question:	Is it usda approved for canning
Answer:	To help clean it if you have a hard mess. Put 4 cups of water in the pan and set it on the steam function for 15 or so minutes.

Question:	Does the 6 quart have a removable power cord
Answer:	Not that I know of... I never really checked that!!! LOL. But I’m pretty sure it’s not removable.
Question:	Can you use this dehydrate fruit
Answer:	I have an instant pot that dehydrates. You might want to look at the Ninja brand. If a pot dehydrates then it will say so on the front of the panel
Question:	How can you tell the size of the instant pot? Where is it labeled
Answer:	It is labeled on the box. Strangly, I don't find the quart measurement anyplace on the outside of the machine, only the word IP-DUO. I have had both sizes, and having seen them it is clear which is which. But if you have one and don't know what size it is, you may have to measure the capacity of the inner pot. Another possibility would be to go online to the IP website and check the serial number against models. You wonder how they made the mistake of not labeling it clearly.
Question:	What is the inner diameter of the pot? I’m going to put in camping pots & need to make sure it fits

Question:	What is the exact inside diameter dimension
Answer:	Don’t waste your money on this, it is really small. I don’t know the exact dimension, but my guess would be of course less than the 7 in across round bake pan. Now, order you a wire mesh basket that fits inside the IP , line it with foil and place your food in the basket and you can cook this way too. Unless you R try ing to bake a cake, in that instance use a spring foam pan inside the cooker.
Question:	How high is it inside the pan
Answer:	I ordered this pan twice and returned both. I hope they have corrected the description. I wanted the lid and solid pan as this shows. They sent a 2 piece pan with a removable bottom. Yes it still had the lid and divider but I wanted a solid pan so liquids would not seep out as it does in the pan I already had. If I remember the inside pan of the pan was what it said in the description only 1.97 inches. Answer:	I don't know. I only have one so can't try it - the bottom is smaller than top so maybe with the divider in the bottom one or the lid on it would work but I can't say for sure.
Question:	What grade of stainless steel is the 7" pan made from
Answer:	I don't know, but I CAN tell you that this thing is WAY SMALLER than I thought it was going to be. I thought I'd be able to bake a cheesecake in it and it's the size of a divided baby dish.

Answer:	Yes, it cooks dry beans in a fraction of the time as a Crock-Pot.
Question:	Is the 3 quart good for just 2 adults? Debating between the 3 & 6 quart
Answer:	Owning both the Mini and 6 qt DUOs, if I could only have one it would be the 6qt. But... we like leftovers of soup and spaghetti, so I usually use the larger one for those items. Otherwise, it's the 3 quart all the way. Anne is right that a rack of ribs won't fit in the 3qt, but if you cut it up into 3-4 smaller pieces, it fits fine. You can make double-strength stock in a Mini. Cut the chicken carcass into smaller pieces, breaking the bones if needed. Add all the remaining ingredients (veggies, aromatics, etc...) for a full pot of stock, with 1-2 quarts of water. To use it, just add water to dilute it. I use the Mini to make 1 pound of pulled pork at a time, using a small 1-pound chunk of pork butt (sometimes my market has 2-pound butts that I cut in half, freezing one piece for later) or pork blade steaks (they're also from the shoulder, with identical meat to the butt). Country ribs work, too. I'll use chuck steak to make pot roast, because it's hard to find a chuck or other roast that's small enough. I cut steaks and roasts into smaller 1.5-2 inch pieces, and reduce cooking time to about 30-35 minutes. So my advice is simple. If you want to make big pots of stock/soup/pasta/etc or cook a whole chicken intact, buy the 6 quart. If, on the other hand, you detest leftovers and just want to keep things minimalistic for the 2 of you, the Mini is your friend.

Answer:	Yes, the legs are at least 3" tall. Works well as a trivet for other pots such as cheese cakes or other foods. Plenty of room for the needed cup or cup and a half of water.
