Question:	Exterior dimensions 5"H to the top of the lid handle
Answer:	Nope. The bottom section will fit length-wise. But with the lid on, the the lid handle makes it too tall. Wish I knew this before I bought it. I still use it in the Breville but will cover with aluminum foil when I have to cover it.
Question:	I have a granite roaster that measures exactly 13 inches from inside handle to handle without the lid. Is this one the same
Answer:	Unless the porcelain "enamel" surface is cracked or broken, the pan should continue to perform normally. The "enamel" surface was sprayed on and then fused to the carbon steel using extremely high temperature. It is not repairable in the usual sense. As Ms. Lembris states, this type of pan is never intended for use on the stove top. Doing so will lead to discoloration as you have learned; and could lead to actual failure of the surface finish rendering the pan unfit for cooking use.
Question:	Will the 13 inch roaster fit in the Breville large toaster oven with its' lid on
Answer:	The normal baking temperature up to 450 degree would not cause any issue.

Answer:	Most protein powders also have other amino acids.... I add quinoa flower to other flours or cereal to increase the protein value, or alone. But in a sizeable amount in a smoothie it might overpower fruit flavors, but that might take some experimentation for taste and texture. I find that the quinoa flour will help thicken the flour in making pancakes, especially corn, so that I often don't have to use baking powder (the gluten free type). I also use buckwheat flour in small amounts to thicken pancake batters made from corn, or rice. So if you like a thick smoothie you might try quinoa as a thickening agent, but again experiment for taste. However, I've never use quinoa as a substitute for my rice based protein powders, but in addition to it.

Answer:	Parameters as follows: Reach of arm center of shaft to center of rubber hold-down foot= 3.30" (a little more than 3 1/4"). Shaft of rubber hold-down foot is 1 1/2" long total with about 3/4" up/down adjustability (with locknut), and can be removed entirely (it's a standard 1/4-20, and I bet you could get creative and replace the foot with a short horizontal arm extension to hack a longer reach if the clamping pressure didn't have to be high). The shaft of the clamp has a max clearance of 4 3/4" from worktable to bottom of rubber hold-down foot.The tool is all metal and nicely solid except for the clamping lever which is durable industrial plastic. I have found it to be useful for close-in jobs requiring switching between different clamping heights and locations during a build (I have two of them). Hope that helps.

Answer:	I personally would not, I'd saute roast and brown in stove top pan only, then transfer to roasting pan! Taking lid off during part of baking will brown meat, so why even bother browning before baking?

Answer:	de Buyer doesn't make lids for Carbon Steel because it makes the food being cooked taste like metal.

Answer:	The handles are stainless and will eventually heat up. For stove top use this could take some time depending on the level of heat. Should always use something vs a bare hand. The Mineral B saute pan handle stays relatively cool with its coated handle. It cannot withstand extended time in the oven over 500 degrees which has never been a problem for me ad I never cook at that temp
Question:	Does anyone find a lid for this
Answer:	Actually, mine measures a little less at 16.25 inches. It’s 14” inside. It’s a great pan, but open immediately and make sure it’s not defective. Mine was perfect, but I ordered a second one for my daughter and put the box in a closet unopened for a few months when she was moving. It was too late to return it when she opened it and found the enamel missing and bubbled— a very noticeable manufacturing defect. My pan has gotten endless use and the surface is still like new. It’s great for roasts and casseroles. Cleans like a dream. Just add water and soap and soak a few minutes.

Answer:	Hi, the above item is a roasting pan with a rack. Using a baster is a separate issue. This product looks good. If you keep the lid on your meat will bast itself if you put some water or both. Answer:	yes the bottom of the pan is smooth. nice pan for roasting and is large in size. this is the second one I have owned. I would buy it again.
