I use straight GOYA coconut oil on my cast irons. Thought this was something specific for that. oh well.

Question: Will this work on stainless steel pan
Answer: Cast Iron's Sam is made from fractionated coconut oil. This natural oil has a smoke point of 350 degrees, so if you heat the skillet hotter than that, it will smoke. Another popular cast iron seasoning oil, unrefined flaxseed oil, has a smoke point of 225 degrees. So, flaxseed oil will smoke more starting at a lower temperature than Cast Iron Sam's. To reduce the smoke, try using less oil. Only a very little bit is needed after cleaning and drying your cookware to preserve it maintain your seasoning. Start with a few drops and add more only if needed.

Answer: Honestly i won't waste money buying this. I doesn't even coat the pan properly. And forget about using it on a warm pan it burns with a foul smell. It is not natural.

Answer: I would probably use the soap on the grill to clean the baked on debris, the oil is specifically used to re-seal cast iron to keep it from rusting ... So it would depend on what your grills are made of.. Mine are stainless steel and do not need to be sealed to keep from rusting .. It's definitely worth a try.. This is a great plant based product.. Question: Does it need to clean the pan before cooking? Is it eatable
Answer: No. The whole soap will ruin your cast iron is just an old wives tale. You can use as much soap as you want on your cast iron. The only tip is that you need to make sure you dry it with a towel at the end. Any water left on your cast iron will promote rusting if you air dry it. But soap is no problem. I’ve been using dawn on my cast iron for years now and they look better than new.
