Answer:	It is not bad product, they just use the cheap components and materials that made it short life

Answer:	The pot is made of glass with the metal/plastic piece attached under it. The part that might be tricky however is that it's a large pitcher and the tea bag string might not be long enough. I have my tea in my cup and pour the boiled water over it. What I really love about the Chef's Star us that it lights up and shuts off when the water is done. It warms up quickly too.

Answer:	I got the 400 ,manual one so it's not gonna stop until you press the on/off button.
Question:	After the water is boiled, can I put tea in a teabag inside or will it damage the metal bottom part
Answer:	I don't use a cartridge filter. I use water from a Reverse Osmosis system instead. The ROS is more economical in the long run and it removes the minerals in the water as well so you don't need to descale the hot water dispenser. But you need to take multi-mineral supplement (come with multi-vitamin supplement to compensate mineral lost in drinking water. Consult your doctor for taking any supplement. Check the instruction or contact dealer for how long the cartridge filter last.

Answer:	I do, SouthernVeggie, I bought them so that I would be able to add a drop of lemon essential oil and it works great for that. However, I do wish that the lid could be operated single-handedly. The glass itself is sturdy; but, has imperfections (bubbles).

Answer:	At first I was concerned about putting the lid in the dishwasher, mainly because of the carrying strap. I wash the bottle in the dishwasher. Once I decided to try one cap with a regular load of dishes. I was concerned it would shrink, come apart, wrinkle, fray, etc. When I took it out, it looked clean and brand new, including the carrying strap. I have since always used the dishwasher when they need washed. Each time they have repeatedly come out looking as brand new as they did when I received them and and they function just as well. Nothing has come loose leaked, or any other problem.

Answer:	I'm not sure, however the glass was so thin and there were so many casting imperfections, I threw them away. Very cheap.

Answer:	I haven't actually broken one yet, but they are not made any kind of shatter proof glass. I'm pretty sure they'd brake if dropped from any significant height.

Question:	Is the box included? So many don't include the box, just a silly bag
Answer:	I wouldn't recommend cutting open a tea bag to put the tea in here. Tea that's put into tea bags is generally crushed really fine to improve the steeping speed. Placing that fine tea into the infuser will let a lot of the fine tea grains out into the rest of the cup. Placing a tea bag into the infuser will probably slow the steeping speed a bit, but it won't affect the end result if you leave it in longer.
Question:	Could you use this product with tea bags
Answer:	If you are expecting it to float, then yes, the length does prevent it from being used in a normal size mug. However, since the whole "joke" is that the teatanic sinks, then it will fit fine once you put it into the hot water.

Question:	Not sure....is the depth 2 inches
Answer:	Looking closely at the Norpro 5549, it seems to be more of a ridged mesh with 4 vertical supports & a support around the top were it meets the rim. The Norpro 5543 won't hold it's shape as well. Mine are bent. I've had mine for years & use them every day. They may have lost their shape a bit, but they still work well. I love them. If you drink more than 1 cup of tea each day, I would go with the 4 pack of 5549 If you would prefer something that will hold it's shape.

Answer:	There is no rust on mine. I have had it for over a year. It does get tea stained, though, but it doesn't look like rust. Great strainer--I use it daily!

Question:	Does it actually stand like in the pictures? One review says it doesn't but i wonder if it is accurate

Answer:	Depending how dark you like your tea, about 3-4 cups. It holds about 1.5 Tablespoons of loose leaf tea. I can easily get a small pot using my more robust teas. The lighter/floral teas probably only 2 cups.
Question:	How many cups of tea does it make
Answer:	Yes it looks just like the big one. It looks like Nessie. The infuser is not the best, but the cute factor outweighs that. It works, you just have to be careful to get it shut

Answer:	Mine is 2 inches deep and it looks exactly the same, but I bought it in 2013 so who knows if it's still the same. I like it a lot though.
