Answer:	It's not waterproof as I discovered when I accidentally dropped my first one in the washing up bowl! However, it's very easy to keep clean. You can wash the metal element but just not submerge the black base.

Answer:	No. As a personal preference I first heat the milk in the microwave for about a minute but the frother works great - cold or hot.

Answer:	Haven’t tried it on eggs, but I would think it might work. I scramble eggs with a fork and it would work at least as well as that. You do have to hold it vertically to make it work.

Answer:	According to Bodum they are. They plastic used is PP (Polypropylene) which is considered to be one of the safest plastics as BPA isn't used in PP. Either way you should know that plastics that use BPA or in the case of "BPA free plastic", another similar compound BPS is being used and has also been found to have estrogenic properties, ie it mimics estrogen. If you want to player it 'safer' don't use hard, clear plastic bottles made from polycarbonate, they are marked with the resin code number 7.

Answer:	Yes, the "frother screen assembly" has a circular plastic "outer" frame molded around a stainless steel circular 'inner" screen. The plastic is not in contact with the milk while it is being heated in a microwave oven. The circular plastic frame on the "frother screen assembly" is submersed in the warmed milk only during the frothing process, which is approximately 5 to 10 seconds.

Answer:	I use a different brand, same arrangement. Works well to froth milk to cream. I would not attempt to whip cream That's just another level. Though tall, narrow bowl is the rule for hand whipping cream as that helps force aeration. I just don't think the screen would work as well as a whisk to get the stiffer peaks you want for whipped cream.

Answer:	Hello, I have used it to froth non-dairy milks as well. Almond milk doesn't froth super well, but it does give it a bit of foam. Heating the milk up can help a bit as well. Also, you can froth, then pour out the foam and then re-froth. I've really liked this product so far.

You heat the milk, either by microwaving it in the glass of the frother or by stove top in a saucepan and then pouring the hot milk into the glass, then insert the frother, hold the lid down with one hand while pumping and the plunger vigorously with the other. The milk with become very foamy within about 20 seconds I usually keep frothing for about 40 seconds to achieve a nice fine foam.

Answer:	I had the same experience, and discovered that the secret to keeping this in good working order is to make sure that the whisk at the bottom is super-clean. After each use, I remove the whisk and rinse it under hot running water (even if there’s no visible residue). Use the little brush accessory to clean between the coils. The whisk also needs to be tightly attached, so if it’s loose, you should write the manufacturer. For now, if you swap out the whisk for the spare attached to the lid, you’ll probably get the results you did for the first month, but, eventually, you’ll stop getting foam again. So, really, unless you can find some mechanical problem (which does sound possible, if it’s really not spinning at all), the first thing to do is a good cleaning.

Answer:	You can heat AND froth with the spring whisk. The one without the spring is for when you want to heat the milk only. You do not need to use the one without the spring unless you want to heat the milk only without frothing it.
Question:	If I use almond milk, Can this frother make good foam for it
Answer:	have not used the product, but foaming will also depend on the kind of almond milk you get. Pure almond milk is hard to foam. Almond milks made for coffee shops and baristas will have much better foam because they've had some form of vegetable oil and/or a gum added (how good that is for you depends on the specific kind, I think).

Answer:	My Bean Envy brother has worked perfectly. These are pretty simple devices so not sure why yours won't work - are your batteries properly inserted??? I'm sure if you contact Bean Envy they can help
Question:	I just got this, put in brand new batteries per the directions...and it won’t turn on. What am I doing wrong
Answer:	Check again to make sure you have the batteries in the right direction. They are in opposite directions and the ribbon should be underneath then for easy removal. The batteries fit rather snugly too so the cover can be placed over them. You can always call their customer service number if you still have trouble.

Answer:	Yes!! That is the reason I purchased the bean envy. I too make bulletproof coffee every morning. I find the bean envy more convenient than using a blender, and easy to clean.
Question:	Why do these type of devices only have a push and hold to run switch. Very uncomfortable for man hands
Answer:	I'm a man and find the button very easy to operate. I have two of these, I bought one for our vacation home. They are extremely well made and work perfectly. I just wish Bean Envy would make a rocker switch model so that you could reverse direction of the unit while mixing stuff. I mix powdered supplements in a small glass and have to pulse the unit to keep liquid from spilling out. If the beater could reverse direction it would work great.

Answer:	Are you filling your entire cup? Add your creamer or milk to only 1/4". Froth cream/milk until it rises. Slowly add coffee or desired drink to the froth. This should in no way burn your hand. 12oz cup is fine.
Question:	I'm trying to replace the batteries and can't seem to pull off the compartment where they go - any suggestions
Answer:	To replace the batteries look at bottom of the frother. You will see a black plastic band. On this band you will see an arrow pointing in a direction. IMPORTANT PART .... Slide the silver bottom in the direction of the arrow. Your mistake is trying to slide both the black band and silver part together Slide only the silver bottom. SL
