If they built a flat extension next to the system, I could lay my phone next to it. But as it stands, I need to find an audio plug extension so I can lay my phone on the kitchen counter.

Answer:	depending on how far out you want the unit to stick infront of the cabinet. It comes with risers so you can lower it sufficiently to clear any lip of the cabinet. Mine sticks out in front of the cabinet by about half an inch and it's fine.

Answer:	No hdmi input - too old. These units are no longer being made, and I couldn't find anyone to work on my first unit when the tv stopped working. Radio still worked, but was the tv that I used most often. So I went on the internet and found another one which still works fine; however, we upgraded our DirecTV to Genie, and they wouldn't hook it or my small bathroom tv up unless we bought 2 more boxes which meant a lot more monthly fees. So right now they aren't used, and I sure miss them. Before we had them "mirrored" (I think that's what the hookup was called). I've read all of the reviews going way back, and they are certainly cheaper than what we paid for our Sonys. The last I used ours, it had a very sharp picture. I never had it hooked up for anything but using the tv and radio .. I don't think I ever used the CD player. I love this tv unit and really miss it. If you're expecting it to do what your newer big-screen tv does with all of its updates and hook-ups, then this isn't for you. If you want a great tv for your kitchen or wherever, it's awesome as takes up no counter space. If you just want to listen to music from a CD or the radio, again, is fantastic as takes up no counter space. I was saddened when Sony quit making them.

Answer:	It does not have an input for a dedicated XM or Sirius Tuner as some earlier SONY receivers did. It has an internal input for "Music Services" but the only two supported are Chromecast and Spotify. Pretty lame. However, with the addition of another device that is capable of streaming SiriusXM (such as Sony Blu Ray player BDP-S3700), you can stream SiriusXM. If you have a good universal remote control (I am using a Harmony Ultimate), the integrated control of the receiver and streaming SiriusXM is fairly easy to program.

Answer:	Dolby Atmos is a speaker configuration incorporating downward firing speakers. You would use the “height” channel speakers as the Dolby Atmos speaker channel, by either installing speakers in the ceiling, or get Dolby Atmos Projection speakers that sit on top of your front surround speakers. You may be able to rig certain speakers as downward firing speakers, however I could consult a Dolby atmos installation guide as they have all the ideal placement specifications for the ideal audio balance/ experience. Dolby Atmos In home theatres is usually a 7.1, 9.1, or 11.1 set up. With 2,4 or up to 6 speakers being placed in the downward firing position e.g ceiling mounted and facing down.

Answer:	Anyone who thinks the interior is all steel did not look carefully at all. R. Roebuck is correct. I just received my kettle an hour ago, and while the bottom of the inside is steel the sides inside are entirely plastic. It's a bit hard to tell because they try to make it look like steel, but after 10 minutes of testing I am 100% sure it's plastic (different sound when tapped, different temperature than the steel bottom, etc). Avoid this kettle if you do not want plastic touching your water.

Answer:	On the interior, the bottom part is steel but the side walls are lined with plastic. It’s bot easy to see because of the small opening of the kettle. I was confused for a while but then i managed to see the plastic and now I don’t feel very goos about my purchase. Especially heating the water at a 100 degrees. I fail to understand why they would make such an expensive kettle, call it a PRO and line it wih plastic.
