Answer:	I’m assuming it’s in-sealed wood and the ants why it stained. - Sand down the entire surface as equally as you can. The box stores and Amazon sell 6” orbital sanders and 4” oscillating ones for very few dollars. - Once sanded remove all of the dust and such with a lint free cloth and mineral spirits. - Buy a pint of the “blue labeled” product called Man-O-War Spar Varnish. Available at most hardware stores, box stores and Amazon. - Let dry for 24 hours. Once dry lightly sans with 240 grit in the direction of the grain. This will take care of all the pours of wood that have stood up. - reapply varnish. -I’ve found that 3-4 coats with light sanding between created an incredibly deep and always wet looking appearance to the surface. Answer:	The vinyl i got has a bit of a texture so it looks a bit cloudy so it’s not completely clear. I probably would have preferred completely clear but it's ok for me.

But here's what I can tell you, the pot (without lid) measures a solid 1 foot (12") from the counter to the top and the opening starts at about 3" (inside lip) and shrinks to about a 1.5" opening. Question:	Is the inside of this 1.85L thermos made of glass or stainless steel
Answer:	I am unsure but suspect it is glass as there is a section in the care of the carafe that refers to particles that may flake off of the inside of the carafe of the type that are found on glass in nature. Key to any storage device of this type is to pre warm or pre cool prior to filling. I use a Camelbak for cold liquids (stainless interior) and find it adequate even if left in a hot car for several hours.
Question:	Does the lid entirely remove? Would it hold a porcelain drip filter on top without falling off
Answer:	The top round section of the lid unscrews. The part under that, with the spout and where the top of the handle meets must stay on. That only unscrews if you want to remove the glass thermal jug inside as it holds it securely in place. With the top portion unscrewed a round lip is on top, diameter 3 3/4 inches. As long as the drip filter has a flat that will sit on that lip then yes it will sit there. The inside of the threaded section is 2 3/4 inch diameter and the hole into the flask is 1 1/2 inch. The height from the hole to the top of the lip is just over 1 inch.

Vacuum means the air between 2 layers of glass has been removed to create a vacuum insulation. It blocks heat from transferring through air (conduction). Zojirushi glass vacuum insulation also features a silver plating between the 2 layers. This silver plating reflects heat (radiation), further minimizing the temperature change of your drink. Answer:	The table protector is exactly as advertised. It is 36" x 96" which fits my table perfectly. It would appear if using 2 you would have extra inches. It is a little thick which is necessary for protection but it appears that you could carefully cut it to make it fit. I love mine! Gook luck.
