Question:	Can you put preground coffee in the tamper and manually tamp then brew
Answer:	While it may not be advertised it is absolutely possible. The preset settings expect the amount of coffee grinds per its grinder (my experience with old oracle was about 22g) you can mimic this weight with any grinder (and you definitely want to as there are many better grinders than what comes with this machine) . Alternatively you can buy a different sized basket (the basket is what sits inside the portafilter and holds the grinds) and play with the manual settings to get what you want . THis is what my friend does with his oracle and we have infinitely better shots via this method than by using the attached grinder.
Question:	I am looking for really good tasting coffee beans for this machine. Which can you recommend
Answer:	You will have to play with it, and see what works out for your taste buds and how you adjust your grind and pour time. Like I've been told, you will waste some coffee. That's just an additional price you pay for owning such an awesome machine! I like to use local roasters for a few reasons, namely, good quality. When I've gotten in a pinch, I've picked up the Starbucks blonde, as a last resort at any grocery. I've been able to dial this one in to make do. I have a friend that roasts his own. That's the best. I like lighter roasts. I mean, I want a strong espresso. Otherwise, i usually stay stocked with a couple local outfits.

Answer:	I purchased the original dual boiler 900. After using it for 5 years it developed a leak. I contacted Breville and they said they would fix whatever was wrong and descale the machine for a flat fee of $350. They also said if they could not fix it they would send me a new one. about a week and a half later they emailed me stating they were sending me a new 920 dual boiler. When I inquired as to why I was getting a new machine, Breville stated, it was going to take two or three weeks to get all the parts needed and did not want me to go that long without an espresso maker. I'm very impressed with that type of customer service.

Question:	does it work with pre ground coffee
Answer:	I would not expect the Phillips 3200 Series to be a workhorse for a large party without filling water reservoir several times because the water reservoir isn't that large. The tank holds approximately 8 cups of water. I've also noticed when the water line gets down to four cups of water left in the tank, the Phillips 3200 asks for more water to be added. I assume that's because of the AquaClean water filter inserted inside the water tank, because the top sits at the four cup line. I think it would be perfect for four people having small cups of coffee. My husband and I have enjoyed the Phillips 3200 Series very much, we normally have about one 18oz. cup cappuccino. I hope this has helped you.

Answer:	My particular coffee machine KRUPS KM9008 recommends mixing powder with 16 ounces of water,pouring into the water fill tank,and starting the machine. Be sure to remove filter first,if your machine has one! .Allow half of the liquid to run through,then switch off machine and let stand for 1 hour.then restart machine to complete the brewing cycle.Discard liquid and rinse machine by running it through 2 full cycles with water only.

Answer:	There are only two packages in this box and I ended up using half a package of the crystals at a time, getting four uses out of the box. I did purchase another item that comes in a three pack with four packets in each for a total of 12 uses by Urnex Dezcal for about the same price. Just received them and have not tried them, but the Krups worked very well and if these do not work as well, I will purchase the Krups again. I have fairly hard water and need to use the product more frequently than most do. There are no instructions with it, but another poster had suggested dissolving the crystals in half a pot of water, pour in coffee maker, let it begin to filter through, turn off the coffee maker and let it sit for about 20 minutes and then turn on again. That worked very well, and then run a couple of pots using just plain water to completely clean the unit before brewing a pot of coffee.

Acrylamide is a by-product of the coffee bean roasting process, so any coffee that contains roasted beans, including instant coffee, will contain small amounts of this chemical. Lab animals given 1000 to 100,000 times more a day developed cancer. No kidding! As a result the state of California made it law for manufacturers of products related to roasted beans must provide the P65 Warning. Studies also showed the human body breaks down the small amount of AcryIamide in coffee. Bottom line enjoy your JAVA! I just suggest not drinking 1000 or more cups of coffee a day. :)
Question:	My order didn’t come with water harness test strip, where in the box is that located or was mine just missing it
Answer:	We have been running our machine for 3 years and have never used the filter and it works perfectly every day. There is a light that goes on that suggests you descale your unit - which is always a process. We haven't done it for over a year (and a half) and it still works. Probably a good idea to do it periodically because calcium can build up in the narrow passageways and could stop your flow. Even filtered water will create buildup.
Question:	What is the default bean strength on the machine
Answer:	It is not dual voltage and is only 110.They offer a 220v model in Europe
