Question:	How often does this machine require a thorough cleaning
Answer:	If you only drink coffee clean the machine once a month. If you drink tea run clear water thru the machine after brewing the tea. If you make hot chocolate give the machine a though cleaning after making the chocolate, do not let the machine set without cleaning.

Answer:	Closed, approximately 15 inches at the highest curved point. You will need an additional 3 inches to open the top to insert the cup. I have to scoot mine out from under the cabinet to put the pod in but it fits under just fine until then.
Question:	Can you use "pods" not made by Keurig
Answer:	You can use any brand "K" cups in this coffee maker including the filter cups to use your own grounds. But you cannot use the large "pods". This is just an old fashion Keurig coffee maker that works great.

Answer:	The K-55 Does not come with a filter attachment. My wife purchase the filter attachment (Black) with reminder dial...not compatible. Supposedly the filter attachment for the K-55 is the clear plastic one that goes into the cold water reservoir and snaps to the bottom outlet. Goin to order it now. Yeah we made that mistake.

Answer:	No water filters are necessary, but you will have instructions on how to periodically clean your Keurig.

Answer:	Once removing the base; from the countertop to the top of the coffee flow area, it is APPROXIMATELY 8 inches.
Question:	Can I use distilled water
Answer:	I would think so. As far as I know, distilled water doesn't have minerals in it, so you wouldn't have to use a limescale treatment to clean the coffee maker as often.

Answer:	The water reservoir comes out by pulling up gently. Slides back on easily. You can fill it up and replace it also. The lid to the reservoir is a little tricky. The handle is small.

Answer:	It pokes a hole in the pods so that it can be brewed into coffee! If it goes through the bottom of the pod I’m not sure, I’ve never had a problem with any leftover spillage. Hope this helps!
