Answer:	Ironically enough, this is a cheap lens that only works well with expensive cameras. Nikon's more expensive line of cameras has an independent auto focus motor that moves the elements in lenses to focus them. Cheaper cameras like the D5200 or D5300 do not have this motor, so they work only with the new AF-S style of lenses that has a built-in autofocus motor. I ran into this problem when trying to shoot the moon with my Nikon D5300, and discovered the lens I was using would not autofocus, so I understand the issue first-hand. If you really want to use this lens, I believe the D7200 is the least expensive Nikon body to have the motor and be compatible with all lenses.
Question:	Does the coffee sit in the basket or in the bottom of the carafe? Looking toward how easy it is to clean
Answer:	Contact the seller and ask. I contacted the seller before I bought one for me and I have a Nikon F and they sent the appropriate adapter. So just ask and make sure you get the answer in writing just to be safe. If not then I think you can buy an adapter from what I've seen for like $9 to $12 bucks from what I've seen. But they are usually good with sending an appropriate adapter no charge with the complete bundle package.
Question:	Are there water level indicators on the inside of the carafe
Answer:	1300 is Max without converter and 2600 with the converter, just make sure you have a very steady tripod otherwise at that focal distance things can get blurry with just the slightest of wind.
Question:	What is the difference between this and the P7 besides the design
Answer:	It is manual focus. A little tricky at first but works very well after you use it a couple of times.

Question:	Once the plastic nut cut out fails the whole system fails. Is there a fix
Answer:	Yeah. The carafe makes a nice holder for cut flowers. Disappointed. I liked the grounds lifter, but when there were as many grounds in my coffee cup as in the carafe, that became irrelevant. Bought a different fp coffee maker.

Answer:	I've replaced the carafe once, but I think that's the only part OXO sells separately. Now my plunger is cracked, and I cannot find that replacement part sold separately anywhere (Amazon, Ebay, etc.). A person may get the filter replaced by calling OXO directly.

Answer:	Do you get the same with other lenses? If not check to make sure there is not some dust or something on the lens. If you are outside could be condensation. If none of these apply then your lens is defective and you may want to send it in for an exchange.

Answer:	If you but the one that is for Nikon it comes with the adapter. I used mine with my D7200 so there is no question it will definitely work with your D7500. I felt the lens was a good value for the money but realize that it is heavy and awkward to use without a tripod or at least a monopod. You will need to use the Non-CPU Lens Data menu in your D7500. You will probably want to learn how to use it on manual for exposure and there is no autofocus but I was able to get decent shots of the moon and the occasional bird if it stayed still long enough. I ended up eventually going for the Nikon 200–500mm zoom Nikkor for its superior sharpness and ease of use with autofocus and auto exposure and I gifted my Opteka to my grandson but the Nikkor is a lot more money and doesn’t have the 1300mm reach of the Opteka when used with the included 2x teleconverter. Good luck.

Answer:	It works on the 5200 so should work on the 3500, I assume you mean Nikon models.
Question:	Is the screen metal
Answer:	Yes. Be sure you understand this is a fixed focal length lens. You attach the 2X extender to increase the focal reach of the lens. It is all manual. Focus, aperture, switching from 500 to 1000 mm lens length- all manual!. It is a very light weight lens, so you need to use it with a tri-pod or mono-pod brace. You must use the manual settings on the camera to use this lens. If you need the reach this lens supplies but not in a high speed or high volume situation, it is a good buy for the cost. If you need the reach of this lens in quick reaction photography it would be best to spend the extra cash and make another lens choice. How much you spend on the lens should be balanced with the ultimate purpose of the photo. This is a lens that takes time to set up and time to take the photo.

Answer:	Telephoto lenses can't do macro photography. That's a completely different medium. The lens says 9.2 ft., probably closer to 10". Of course, at 600mm that would make a flower, for instance more than fill the full frame.

Answer:	That never occurred to me. Now I have one more thing to research. I’ve had the lens for about 18 months, in Louisiana, using it on a Nikon D7500. I photograph small birds and it’s been the only affordable lens I’ve had any success with in that pursuit. I know this didn’t answer your question, but all my photographer pals have “lens envy” when they play around with mine.
