| Answer: | I play a lot of country and blues tunes on my Telecaster. I have been using Elixir Polyweb 9-42 gauge strings for a few years. I have no problems with bends. The tension feels the same as any other 9-42 gauge strings that I have used. The main plus is that Elixir strings keep their tone much longer than non coated strings. Supposedly, Elixer Nanoweb strings have a slightly brighter tone and feel than the Polyweb strings. I recommend at least trying a set on your electric guitar to see if you like the tone and feel. I have had a set of Elixer Nanoweb 9-42 on my Heritage electric guitar with humbucking pickups for over a year with no breakage and very little loss of tone! I use Elixer Polyweb 10-46 on my Stratocaster. I don't do a lot of string bends on the Strat, but I like the slightly heavier feel and warmer tones on that guitar.
