Answer:	The replacement part from Bodum is https://www.bodum.com/us/en/01-10903-01-32-component but it has been out of stock for 3 months. I emailed Bodum to complain because NOTHING takes three months to manufacturer. They said it will be in stock in June. To reply to another poster there IS NO LIST you can get on. Bodums solution? Check their web site daily and hope that "out of stock" changes to "in stock" and the hundreds of other people doing the same don't turn "in stock" back to "out of stock" before you know it. Answer:	When I was buying my Bistro I found useful the review from coffeegearathome.com. They leaned for the Bodum bistro because:"It has a larger bean catcher capacity (11 oz vs only 4 oz for the Capresso).The Borosilicate glass is more helpful than you might think. It leads to less clean-up after grinding, that's always a plus!The silicone lid on the coffee ground container is a great addition to save the coffee for a longer time."The only advantage they found for the Capresso was that it has more grinding settings (16 compared wirh the 14 of the Bodum). All the time I have been using the Bodum, I can not imagine how 2 settings more would make it better or even be needed. The Bistro is an excellent choice.

Answer:	Don't know. But since it isn't for food storage and the blade is metal, I don't believe such brief contact (seconds) with its plastic parts would transfer an unhealthy amount of BPA (if it contains any at all).

I would never purchase from this company again. Answer:	Yeah I won't buy this carafe for more than the whole press assembly will cost me. I was looking for a metal nut to replace the plastic one that comes with the Bodum Brazil 51oz that stripped on mine. Turns out the larger cold brew press comes with a metal one which I was able to switch out with the plastic from the Brazil. Apparently the plastic isn't dishwasher safe. But for 20 bucks just get a new press. Crazy

Answer:	Measuring the very bottom of the cork lid it is 4 3/8". But it tapers. It starts out at 4 3/8" but goes to 4 1/2" rather quickly over a the next 1/2". That taper is so abrupt that it keeps the lid from fitting down into the jar all the way. My jar's lids, and I bought two different sizes, both only fit down into into the jar 1/4".

Answer:	Let's not negate the fact its stainless and you can't microwave metal.

Answer:	I just got mine yesterday. There is no extra cap. I am extremely dissappointed that this does not come with an extra PLAIN lid. This is too expensvive to not come with 2 lids!
