Answer:	If you only drink coffee clean the machine once a month. If you drink tea run clear water thru the machine after brewing the tea. If you make hot chocolate give the machine a though cleaning after making the chocolate, do not let the machine set without cleaning.

Answer:	Closed, approximately 15 inches at the highest curved point. You will need an additional 3 inches to open the top to insert the cup. I have to scoot mine out from under the cabinet to put the pod in but it fits under just fine until then.
Question:	Can you use "pods" not made by Keurig
Answer:	You can use any brand "K" cups in this coffee maker including the filter cups to use your own grounds. But you cannot use the large "pods". This is just an old fashion Keurig coffee maker that works great.

Answer:	The K-55 Does not come with a filter attachment. My wife purchase the filter attachment (Black) with reminder dial...not compatible. Supposedly the filter attachment for the K-55 is the clear plastic one that goes into the cold water reservoir and snaps to the bottom outlet. Goin to order it now. Yeah we made that mistake.

Answer:	The manual actually says to change the filter every 1,000 ozs or every 2 months, whichever comes first. Truthfully, it depends on usage. We use it more that once a day, sometimes just for hot water, so we end up changing it monthly.
Question:	How do you repare water filter for use
Answer:	I soak my new charcoal filter in water for about five minutes. While it is soaking I clean my filter holder and water reservoir with soap and water and rinse theml until all soap has been removed. After cleaning holder and reservoir and soaking of the new filter, I place the new charcoal filter in it's place, change the date for a 2month period on the filter holder and place the filter holder into place.

Answer:	Yes, they will fit but do not make a good cup of coffee on the 12 oz. setting even with the strong option selected. I found that the K&J cups hold around 10 to 15% less ground coffee that the Keurig proprietary reusable K-Cup. As long as you choose the 6, 8, or 10 oz. settings on your K-Select, these pods do a good job.

Question:	Do you have to have one of the inserts (coffee filter, k cup tea leaf holder in it in order for it to brew? Mine didnt brew and i sebt it back
Answer:	Yes, when I just heat up water I insert the tea leaf holder but you have to make sure to fully press down on the cover making sure it clicks after inserting one the inserts. Otherwise you'll hear it heating up but the water will never come out. Hope this helps anyone who is wondering or having issues.
Question:	Why is the plug-in just a regular one
Answer:	This product is made in China for both European markets and the American markets. The “safety plug” or 3 pronged plug costs more to make therefore, to keep costs down, they could use a two pronged plug. In addition, many homes in the U.S. still lack sufficient 3 hole plug sockets which could also be the reason. This product is U.L. Tested for safety (meaning that it meets the minimum requirement from the U.S. government for safety by government standards) and has a sticker somewhere along the cord, usually around the plug end. It’s clearly marked and specifically states “UL tested.” We returned this item for failure to work and ended up going with a competitor for quality and reliability.
Question:	Is this compatible with the San Francisco Bay soft bottom "k-cups
Answer:	I haven't used soft-bottom k-cups, but it doesn't seem like they would work in the Sboly coffeemaker. I think the bottom needle in the coffeemaker would not pierce the k-cup bottom very easily. Just my opinion.

Answer:	Although I ordered several of these for Christmas for my grandchildren, the thought did not occur to me to ask where LEGOs are manufactured...until I received your question. So, I ‘googled’ it and this is what I found: Q: “Where are LEGOs made?” A: “Manufacturing of Lego bricks occurs at several locations around the world. Answer:	Yes, it works with mugs. I use a very tall mug and it still fits with room under the spout. How much water you put in depends on how strong you want your coffee. I use what is a *normal* amount for me i.e., fill my tall mug almost to the top. I use this every day and have not been disappointed.
Question:	Is it easy to clean the filter for the grounds, or do the grounds stick in the mesh? Are there little paper filters that are designed to line it
Answer:	We don't have little paper filters, but the filter for the grounds is very easy to clean. I just wash it with water and it becomes clean in few seconds.
Question:	Can someone please tell me can you make strong coffee with this coffee maker? I purchase a coffee maker that I couldn't taste the coffee at all
Answer:	another way to get stronger coffee is by purchasing a darker roasted coffee. Many of the coffee packages will tell you how strong the coffee is. The more roasted the coffee bean the deeper/stronger the coffee will be. This coffee maker will only brew a maximum of 14 oz. per brew cycle but the coffee ground holder holds 3/4 cup of grounds. I would experiment with different types of roasted beans, amount of water used and amount of ground coffee used at one time to try to get the perfect cup of coffee for your taste.

Answer:	Keurig k-cups are too expensive. I use Folgers or Maxwell House or Wal-Mart pods. They work fine, especially Wal-Mart Pods (Medium-Dark) which only cost 25 cents each if you buy a carton of 100.
