Answer:	This cup is not leakproof. Hot liquids cause the lid to slip off such that you have to hold the lid on when taking a drink, otherwise it will fall off. The lid is for decoration only when hot liquids are in use.

Answer:	It is removable, but the KeepCup website actually recommends you don't remove it. Just hand wash and dry with the cork band on. I imagine this is to prevent stressing the cork. Frequently removing/replacing the band might be what's causing the cork breakage several reviewers seem to be experiencing.

Answer:	The handle gets extremely hot making it impossible to use while liquid is hot.
