Answer:	Don't buy this coffee pot. Be prepared for the cheap plastic knob on top to break. We used ours pot daily for the past 3 years. Once a year we have to replace the plastic knob. OK, there only $6.50. buy two right! Well the last one to break I call the company for a couple replacements. They don't just sell the knobs anymore you have to purchase the whole lid for $17.00. I told them to forget it. Buy a pot that has a glass knob! Spend the extra money.

Question:	Does the pot keep the coffee warm by re-percolating periodically, or does it just have a heating element
Answer:	No, it does not re-percolate after the first cycle. If you leave it plugged in after finishing, it is essentially just a hot plate that keeps the coffee warm. It will not percolate already hot coffee. If you want it to percolate the same coffee more, it has to be cooled all the way back down somehow. This basically defeats the ENTIRE PURPOSE of a percolator in the first place. It essentially is a drip coffee maker with a water heater, and takes away any control you have over how long it percolates or how strong it can make coffee. That is why there is a clear knob on top, so we know to KEEP it percolating. With this one, we can't. So what's the clear knob even for? It is a complete joke.

Answer:	YES there is 2 round small silicon-looking parts that hold the handle on,as they just HAD to put a water indicator in the handle. For this reason and this reason ONLY, I did not make this a purchase. It did however havea GLASS bubbler at top. Lid area is small and if you have large hands, youmay not be able to get inside to clean or whatever. I took one out of its boxand the local CHINA store (W-mrt) and looked. I could have overlooked the small lid opening, but NOT the plastic silicon. I'm STILL on a coffee percolatorquest. Apparently there is one model here on Amazon that has over 1000 reviews,and it has a avg 4.9 rating : ) (approx)...YET...NO GLASS Knob to SEE it percolate.WHY would a brand DO this? Answer:	It's hard to belief the questions asked these days. I have had this coffee maker since 1994, that's 25-26 years when it was still built in USA, burning your hand and I have big hands isn't an issue unless you have hands like a gorilla. I take the guts out (quickly) right after perking and don't burn my fingers. The pot has three major parts, a thermal switch that starts and stops the perking, a big perk element for brewing and a keep warm element to keep coffee warm after brewing. My keep warm element burned out about 5 years ago so coffee slowly cools off till pot's predetermined temperature trips it to perk again. That's why I take the guts out of ours after perking.
Question:	My old 12cup Fabwrware electric percolator had two prong plug. Does this newer model have a three prong plug? I use a timer for my present 8 cup with 3 prong
Answer:	if you like strong coffee, heaping tablespoon per 2 cups. Courser grind for a little weaker. I suggest to use a flat filter on the bottom if using fine grind unless you don't care about frit in your mouth. The last 3 I bought broke within a year each so enjoy it. The quality has disappeared since made in china

Answer:	I think you could do that, if you have moderate tool skills. It might require a little bending of the spine piece to make the join support properly.

Answer:	Package is about the same length as the product. The rack is assembled all you have to do is screw it to the wall, but there are no mounting screws included. I just picked up a couple of 100 pound drywall mounting screws and had it up in minutes, looks and works great.

Question:	How do I know if my new pot is still made by farberware, or if is a newer version farberware made by black and decker
Answer:	I had my last Farberware pot for a good eight+ years . . .I see absolutely no difference in my new one. It feels as every bit as solid and heavy as my last one. I'm sorry that it has to be made in China, but it is one of the few reasonably priced ALL STAINLESS STEEL perculators you can buy and I will buy the Farberware one (in 8+ years, I hope) again. I looked at "stainless" perculators at Bed, Bath and read the info on the box, which revealed that only the basket was stainless steel. Put it back on the shelf.

Answer:	I purchased the 8 cup Farberware coffee pot and it holds about 54 ounces. I'm not so sure about the 2-4 cup coffee pot. I do highly recommend the 8 cup pot, however...because you can still use it to make less cups but then if needed, you also can make 8 cups.
Question:	Is the basket stainless steel as well? Do you need paper filters or will the basket work without it
Answer:	The baskets are stainless steel and you do not need paper filters if you grind the coffee for a percolator. We buy our coffee at Costco and use the machine in the store and set it to "13 Percolator". The basket is specially designed to not need a filter if the coffee grind is correct.

Answer:	Another note. This pot is not made by Farberware, as they no longer make coffee pots. They just sell there names to the Chinese makers. It is not half the quality of the old Farberware one I have. which is too big for every day use. Also after having this a year it stopped keeping the coffee warm and actually perks it again and again. So if you don't take the grinds out fast enough it keeps re-perking and your coffee gets stronger. In any case it still boils your coffee instead of just keeping it warm as it should. I only purchased it because I was stuck. There are not many perk pots on the market any longer. If it was possible I would not purchase it again. but as I said when I purchased it because there wasn't much of a selection out there. It's about time for a new one, so soon I'll have to start looking. I have had this one about 6 years.

Answer:	I didn't have any issues with the knob melting so I am not sure. I would contact the maker to see if you can get replacement knobs.

Answer:	It's probably 30 or 31. I'm 5'10" and the pants went up above my ankles and one pant leg was a good inch shorter than the other. I bought the large hoping they would be a little longer, I normally wear a medium. I'm not sure if the inseam varies with size.
