Answer:	The grinder only operates on 110v. However I think plugging in to a 220v outlet is not a bad idea that way you can get your misery over right away. Don't buy this piece of junk. I never dropped it, whacked it with anything, or knocked it on anything but the palm of my hand to get spices out of it yet the cup on mine began to crack after less than a year of light use and after less than three years it just literally fell apart. I now own an Epica and love it.

Answer:	115 watts, 120V~60Hz 125W. I had a Hamilton Beach grinder for more than 10 years and it still works well, and got a 2nd one because I use it only to grind herbs and spices. So now that my other one that I use only for coffee broke from another maker broke, I am buying a 2nd Hamilton Beach grinder. It's not worth to spend more more if it works. The other one works well but I do not like using the same one for herbs and spices plus coffee. I like the front button, not on top, because it is better for my hand with arthritis.
Question:	I cannot pull the electric cord out of the grinder, the maximum lenght is 3 inches, I missed something? I tried push it in before pull it out, yank it
Answer:	Grab the bottom of the unit and pull down. The grey piece will slide down about an inch and allow you to UNROLL the cord from the holder. When the cord is unwrapped, push the grey piece back up - note that the cut out on the grey piece should allow the cord to dangle free. It's a simple procedure to reverse the process to re-wrap the cord when you are done.

Answer:	You can, but if the grounds are really fine some will get through the filter and into the water. Just use another filter when pouring and it should remove the grit.

Answer:	This thing SUCKS !!! It is the absolute most useless grinder on the planet. We bought two...both broke after a few days (which means use of 2-3 times). Which is a shame as another model we have owned for +5 years. DO NOT BUY this. You will waste your money...and we have yet to be refunded. You would literally get more bang for your buck and more use by using the money you would pay for one of these, setting it in a pile, lighting it on fire, and watching it burn in front you.

Answer:	Yes there are five settings. Each setting determines the length of time the grinder runs. Experiment with it to see which setting works best for your coffee maker.

Answer:	I recommend that you get the cuisinart DBG 650 with the built in water filter, way better choice. The grinder on the Hamilton doesn't grind all the beans

Answer:	Standard 12 cup carafe should work. It must have the pause during brewing feature in the carafe to work properly.
Question:	My grinder starts running each time i power on the brew cycle even when there are no beans in the grinder. i think my unit might have a bad sensor. is
Answer:	The same thing happened to me. I thought I had a faulty unit too until I realized that it's the cleaning cycle. It's just rinsing the place where you put the beans.
