Answer:	Hi Amanda, Well I've had more time with my KA grinder since I wrote that review. I'm still pleased with the way it operates but have come to realize that grinding times need to be longer than the directions call for. I, too favor a fine grind so have been holding the grinding to a count of twenty (one one thousand, two one thousand, etc.). Sometimes it helps to pause at ten and shake the grinder lightly to ensure a thorough grinding with no left over whole beans. Enjoy!

It is so efficient and so easy to use. I like that the grind cup comes off to empty the ground coffee. I highly recommend this product. FYI, I am a 77 year old Granny and am very particular about my household products. I want them to work as stated and I need ease of use. This one rates high in all categories. I have recommended it to several people. I stand by my word too.

Answer:	All halogen bulbs run hot and can be a fire hazard. It is important that they are in a proper fixture and protected from combustibles. These bulbs seem to work fine In the fixture under my microwave over the range. We usually have the light on low level except while using the range.

Answer:	No idea. I usesd bulbs on my GE Profile combo microwave/range hood.

Answer:	It grinds the beans when you program it.... just make sure that you have the setting correct to grind the correct amount of cups!!

Answer:	The grinder has settings to grind for 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 cups of coffee. So it will grind per the setting. For 12 cups I do use about a 1/2 c of coffee beans.

Answer:	I would check the settings for time, grind and brew strength. If nothing works, refer to the manual. When I set mine for delayed start time, I just press the "auto" button twice, the clock shows up in the display, and I wake up to perfect coffee. It's probably something simple - I had to play with mine for a bit when I first set it up.

Answer:	When speaking of a coffee grinder, it means heavy duty enough to get the job done and not wear out the motor. The last one i got lasted me 25 years and it was finally getting tired. For small seeds and spices, even hard ones, to any kind of nut, it does the job well. Almost too well if grinding nuts. Better to get the larger pieces out and grind just them than keep trying in the same batch, you can wind up with almost a dry nut butter.

Answer:	The literature says "Made in PRC" (Peoples Republic of China) and the label cast into the unit on the bottom says "Made in China."
Question:	How can you control the grind coarseness of the grind? This looks like a standard blade grinder with a motor
Answer:	If you're very serious about this question, do NOT buy this grinder. That said, I personally like it but have a few tricks to improve performance. It's very tough to accurately control the coarseness with this type of grinder. If you are looking for a med-fine for making drip coffee it's all about amount of time you hold down the button, and does a decent job. Course grounds for french press are very, very difficult, due to the way the grinder works. When I make french press, I tap the button for 1 second, 18 times, picking the grinder up and shaking after each button press. I use a kitchen sifter to let the extra fine coffee fall thru (use that for wife's cold brew) and use the course grounds for my french press. Hope that helps.

Question:	When it is done brewing there is a pool of coffee in the filter (about 1-2 cups). It eventually comes down. Anyone else with this problem
Answer:	never had that problem. However there is a mechanism that shuts off water flow thru the filter if the glass pot is not in place. My guess is this mechanism is falsely reporting the absence of the pot at some pint during the brew.
Question:	how do you use auto clean
Answer:	it calls for 6 cups of vinegar and 4 cups of water, you put it in the back, press the auto-clean button and it does a good job.
Question:	How do you use the Strong 1-4 Cup feature
Answer:	Mine has a strong feature, and a 2-4 cup feature. I never use the 2-4 cup button. I always make 6 cups. The strong feature I use every morning. I push that first, than I push the on button.
Question:	It the faceplate on this coffee maker chrome or plastic. It appears to be chrome but I'm not sure if it is or not. Thanks
Answer:	It's a VERY THIN sheet of metal, not sure if it's chrome, seems more like tin, & it's in place with small screws. There is plastic behind the thin layer. Hope this helps.

The number of fins for this blender is determined by the 2 numbers that appear right after the model number on the motor base.
