Answer:	I tried this in the two fluted pie plates we have, both Emil Henri, one labeled 9" which has about a 7.5" bottom and 9" top, and one unlabeled, but which has a 10.5" top. In the smaller pan, the Kitchen Craft pan was too large to reach the bottom, and has sides that are closer to vertical than the Emil Henri. In the larger Emil Henri, the Kitchen craft would be able to sit on the bottom, but would be too small, and too vertical, to do anything at the sides. Hope this helps

Answer:	Using a standard 1/2 cup measure, I can put 1 1/2 cups of water into the empty pie plate with a little room left over. If I try to put 2 cups of water in, the water overflows. If you were baking something with a crust (pie, chicken pot pie), I believe you could still add the 1 1/2 cups of filling with no problems. FYI, it also makes a nice serving dish for one batch of hummus. Hope this helps...
