Question:	Can I use these in my apartment where there are already existing permanent blinds (not blackout ones) which I cannot remove
Answer:	The blinds are about 1 1/2 inches in depth. If you have room between the permanent blinds and the window they should fit. The top sticks to the window and unfolds downward as far as you want. They provide a clip to set the height.
Question:	Is it sturdy enough to be taken on and off daily, without ruining the adhesive
Answer:	A simple solution to mounting them daily is to use push pins or thumbtacks. If you cannot push them into wood to hold the blinds at the top of each side then use a tiny hammer or the rubber handles of a pair of pliers. When you leave if you're worried about the holes created by use of pins or tacks just spackle them with wood dough. You might use the same holes to push the pins into.

Answer:	does the included adhesive tape at the top damage the wall/ceiling when the blind is removed. I only need them for one week.
Question:	How well do these block out the light? I need something that completely blocks the light out. Anyone got a picture of how well these work
Answer:	You can use scotch tape (or any other good tape) and use black trash bags which you likely already have to black out the window for significantly cheaper than these. I used a 30 gal 1.2 mil trash bag on my window which covered the whole thing, and it blocks out about 95% of the light. The drapes then block out the rest creating total black out. If you were to buy the heavy duty "yard trash bags" that are 2 mil or thicker, I guarantee those would blackout a window alone. A 50 gal yard or construction trash bag would cover a huge window. With my drapes (which I never open) you can see the trash bag either so it doesn't look bad. The window its on faces my backyard so nobody will ever see it outside. This window unfortunately faces east so the rising sun beams in my window and I work nights and come home to go to sleep in the morning. This works like a charm!

HOW TO INSTALL THE VELIMAX WINDOW FILM?

3 TIPS BEFORE YOU START:

• A small utility knife with breakaway blades is the best tool for trimming film. Film can dull a blade edge quickly; and a dull blade can tear film.
• Fill a spray bottle with a soapy water solution: to 1qt. bottled water, add 1/4 tsp of liquid soap. Avoid using concentrated or degreasing detergents. If you can't find proper liquid soap, the clean water is also OK for the solution.
• Remove any caulk, paint or glue debris that may be stuck to the window.

8 STEPS OF THE INSTALLATION:

1. Measure and record the dimensions the target glass.
2. Clean the glass thoroughly.
3. Add 1+ inch on every side when cutting the film so you have excess film to trim away.
4. Peel off the backing liner.
5. Generously spray the soapy water both on the glass and the window film.
6. Place the film on the wet glass, adjust the position of the window film.
7. Using a plastic squeegee or card, begin squeegeeing the water and air out from under the film.
8. Trim excess material away with a VERY sharp razor or craft knife, leaving a 1/16” wide gap around the edges of the film.

• 1. How to deal with the air bubbles?

Use a hard plastic squeegee or any plastic card to squeegee air bubbles and water. If you find it's hard to get rid of the bubbles, uncover the window film, spray more water between the glass and the film and squeegee firmly again. Water will make it much easier to remove bubbles.

• 2. Why the film fall off after a while?

Please confirm if you have removed the liner, trimmed the edges or squeegeed excess water and bubbles.

• 3. Can I remove the film at a later stage?

Answer:	As in the product description, it is a Total Blackout Film. You will not be able to see through it. Anyone looking at your window from the outside will see a white surface. From the inside of the house you will see black.
Question:	What is the solution that is mention in the installation instructions? The box that arrived didn’t have any liquid with it
Answer:	I took a spray bottle and mixed the recommended portions of dish soap and water. That was the solution they mentioned to me and it wasn't provided with the material. When you're ready to install the material, you spray the glass and slide the material on the window. Then you should have a squeegee, as I think they recommend, and squeegee the liquid to the outside edges. Continue to do this until no solutions (or very little solution) comes out of the edges. This is a good company so don't hesitate to call them with any questions and I'm sure they will help.

Installation Instructions:

Please follow the instructions to apply the blackout window film, it's the easiest way to do it.

Step 1: Measure your window's size.

Step 2: Measure and cut the film slightly larger than your window.

Step 3: Clean your window, make sure there isn't any kind of debris, dust or oil.

Step 4: Spray the window with soapy water, lots of soapy water is the key.

Step 5: Remove the transparent film, smooth side to the window.

Step 6: Apply the film against glass, make sure the window with enough soapy water before applying it.

Step 7: Squeegee out all bubbles, use old credit card or squeegee to smooth out bubbles.

Step 8: Cut off excessive film, use a sharp knife to trim any edges.

Some Warm Tips:

1. The blackout window film can only suitable for flat, smooth and clean glass.

2. Make sure that your window is thoroughly clean, the speck of dirt may create a bubble.

3. You may need another person or two people to help you if you plan to apply the large windows.
