Answer:	I agree with the 6mm estimated thickness but my vase seems to be consistent throughout its 50cm length. It's surprisingly light in weight--I wondered if it was acrylic but it's glass--which is not a bad thing when 2/3 full of water with perhaps some beach pebbles. It's sold as a vase so I would hesitate to use water hotter than tap-hot. In fact depending on the temp of the glass (freshly brought upstairs from the cold room?) and the speed with which it is filled with 60°C water, it could well shatter.
