Answer:	I have a 70 lb Siberian husky fuzz factory and a 70 lb brown mutt who sheds finer wispy hair. They both tear around the house when they play and for some reason the rug is home base, where most of the action goes down. This mat keeps the rug from shifting AT ALL - it's on old wood floors. Occasionally a corner gets flipped up, that's as bad as it gets. Easier to vacuum, too.

As you can see from the article, PVC (polyvinyl)-based pads are the worst you can get because the chemicals in them can interact with the finish of your floor, causing them to stick and/or stain. 100% natural rubber is best for non-slip function without staining the floor. Synthetic latex is cheaper but breaks down over time, potentially damaging floors. Felt is another good option for protecting floors, but it isn't non-slip. If you zoom in on the picture of the package, you can see that this rug pad is PVC-based, so if you're worried about protecting your wood floors, I wouldn't suggest taking any chances with this rug pad. 100% natural rubber and felt pads are more expensive, but compared to the cost of refinishing your floors, they are far cheaper (and quite durable). Answer:	Yes, I bought this and it did stick to the floor, so I have a waffle pattern on the floor. I scraped it with a razor blade and tried Goof-Off on it, but cannot get the remaining bit off of the stained cement floor. Any suggestions?

Answer:	This is the first year we have this stand- bought last year after Christmas- first the directions say step on pedal well after what seemed like hours with 2 of us working on it realized that all you do is pull it out there is no stepping on it- then tree in stand and pumping on pedal did nothing so my husband physically twisted the tree and it is sturdy and straight so am a little disappointed but I guess there is NO fool proof stand- have no answer to your specific question as I have not called the company yet but they certainly should honor the 5 year warranty- good luck-

Answer:	I have an 8’x10’ rug and I bought the 8’x10’ rug pad and it was a perfect fit and no trimming was needed.

Answer:	I would buy the 8 x 10 (true to size) rug pad. You want the pad to be a little bit smaller to fit properly. You would probably want to trim the pad to 7’8” x 10’. I have these rug pads and they work very well and I vacuum with no problem.
Question:	Will this pad disintegrate over time? My last one, not one from this company, literally turned to a green sand
Answer:	I have had that happen with cheap rubber. I’ve had this pad only a few months and it seems to be mostly felt. I anticipate that this will last a long time.

Question:	I'm renting a cottage with beautifully stained, real hardwood floors. Are both sides 100% safe for real hardwood floors
Answer:	I have a 70 lb Siberian husky fuzz factory and a 70 lb brown mutt who sheds finer wispy hair. They both tear around the house when they play and for some reason the rug is home base, where most of the action goes down. This mat keeps the rug from shifting AT ALL - it's on old wood floors. Occasionally a corner gets flipped up, that's as bad as it gets. Easier to vacuum, too.
Question:	is this 100% natural rubber? what is "sbr latex

As you can see from the article, PVC (polyvinyl)-based pads are the worst you can get because the chemicals in them can interact with the finish of your floor, causing them to stick and/or stain. 100% natural rubber is best for non-slip function without staining the floor. Synthetic latex is cheaper but breaks down over time, potentially damaging floors. Felt is another good option for protecting floors, but it isn't non-slip. If you zoom in on the picture of the package, you can see that this rug pad is PVC-based, so if you're worried about protecting your wood floors, I wouldn't suggest taking any chances with this rug pad. 100% natural rubber and felt pads are more expensive, but compared to the cost of refinishing your floors, they are far cheaper (and quite durable). Answer:	Yes, I bought this and it did stick to the floor, so I have a waffle pattern on the floor. I scraped it with a razor blade and tried Goof-Off on it, but cannot get the remaining bit off of the stained cement floor. Any suggestions?

Answer:	I'm not sure if they advertised this pad as being safe for hardwood floor but I have had it down for 6 months and haven't noticed any discoloring. It definitely won't scratch the floors (unless there is a pebble, etc.) as it has a soft backing.

Answer:	The top is a high grade felt & the bottom is a non skid rubber that will not adhere to your hardwood floors. I have a grandson who likes to run and before I installed these our area rugs was always moving. Now it is in place. My hardwood floor installer who also runs a wholesale floor shop for pros turned me onto this product.mi highly recommend the product.
