Answer:	No, it is not machine washable. Please see care instruction for Shag rugs: Vacuum regularly to prevent dust and crumbs from settling into the roots of the fibers. A brushless attachment is recommended. Avoid direct and continuous exposure to sunlight. Shedding is a normal occurrence and will reduce over time with frequent vacuuming. Use rug protectors under the legs of heavy furniture to avoid flattening piles. Do not pull loose ends; clip them with scissors to remove. Turn carpet occasionally to equalize wear. Remove spills immediately; if liquid, blot with clean, undyed cloth by pressing firmly around the spill to absorb as much as possible. For hard to remove stains, professional rug cleaning is recommended. Store in a dry and well-ventilated area. Use of a rug pad is recommended.

Answer:	I had mine for two years and the color overall changed a bit - ivory became light beige and dark gray stripes became lighter gray. The pile is holding up very well - there is no splitting anywhere on the rug or rolling up of corners or edges. I just got a new one and the two (other then color change) look the same even though the older one has two years in it. I wish I can upload the photo here so you can see them side to side.

Answer:	It hides dirt well, I have two big black dogs and the rug never looks dirty. Its in my living room which is the main traffic area of the home. Ive had it several months and it still looks great. The ivory has a bit of beige strands mixed in with it.
