Answer:	No chemical smell, but don't waste your money. This rug does not lay flat in the center. The two layers are not sewn together properly causing it to bubble in the center.

Answer:	I wouldn't think so. We have it as a runner on top of carpet. Not a rubber back.

Answer:	I have my own big Hoover steam cleaner which worked really well on the carpet. I don't think I'd hesitate to use a spot cleaner on it. I just found it easier to do the whole carpet.

Answer:	I just used my Hoover steam vac and cleaned it like any of my other carpets, and had no problems.

Answer:	Not navy blue at all. It's just like it looks in the picture, a light-medium blue. It's very nice. I got one the other day and love it. It's thicker than I thought it would be (certainly for a rug in this price range) and the corners and all laid flat in about 30 minutes. It's also pretty cushy, if you know what I mean. My condo is on a slab, and although there's a rug underneath, it's really soft when I step on it. Of course, I don't know how it's going to hold up, but it looks as though it should last long enough. I have cats so I wasn't looking for too much longevity. Besides, styles change and I'm sure I'll get tired of the color after a few years. But for that price, a few years is about right for me. Answer:	Grey — and the picture is true to the actual color.

Answer:	Its 100% polypropylene pile. I dont see any mention of vocs on the label but according to google, new carpets do give off vocs. I didn’t notice any smell when I first received my rug.
