Answer:	Haven't gotten mine yet, but from the video I just saw from another buyer, it's looks like it's decent for a dark normal bedroom sized room, so I'm guessing one of these would not have the full effect you are looking for in a wedding reception hall. A few might do the job, or maybe look for some outside the home lighting/laser projectors for lighting up the front of your house. I bring one I have inside and I have no doubt it would project the red and green laser like lights throughout a reception area.
