Answer:	You do not need a remote. It come on when the sun is out and runs for an hour or so after the sun has gone from the solar panel. It is all automatic

Answer:	It is smaller than I thought. I think it is 19".

Answer:	There are two cords. One for the light and one for the water pump. Only the light has an on off switch. I plugged the water pump into an extension cord with a switch. Note: two cords means two plug-in spots (outlets) needed.

Answer:	I recently bought this fountain and really enjoy it. It is a very nice fountain with a nice bubbling noise. The bird also love it as well. The only drawback is it doesn’t hold as much water as I would like so I have to refill it every other day. I love the light feature on it at night it almost looks like fire with the water bubbling up. I would give this a 4 star rating. If it held more water I would give it a 5 star rating.

Answer:	The unit is not solar powered. The pump and the LEDs are powered by separate outlets; there are two cords with plugs. The LEDs have a switch in their cord, the way night lights often do, and their plug is in a transformer unit like a phone charger. The cord for the pump goes straight to the outlet. You may want to put together a configuration like bedrooms have, with a switch at the door which can turn on a lamp which is the only thing in the room connected to that switch. If you do the birdbath that way, then if you plug in both the pump and the LEDs to that switched double outlet and turn on that switch, the pump will operate, and the LEDs will light up if their switch is also on. You can use their switch to turn them off in the daytime and on in the evening. If the pump and LEDs aren't on a switched outlet, you just plug them in each time you want them to operate.
