Though it does have some ability to reduce noise, it's only about half that of a standard drop ceiling tile, so it will not be a good choice on it's own, when noise is an existing problem. | Answer: | Thanks for the interest! Our 2' x 2' Stratford cannot be used as-is in a 2' x 4' ceiling grid. The grid will need to be converted to the 2' x 2' size. Luckily, the transition is fairly quick, and does not require you completely remove your current ceiling grid. You just need to add what's called a 2' Cross Tee, which is available at some big-box home improvement stores, or possibly even here on Amazon. Product description
The ceiling tiles and panels are made of uniform extruded polystyrene foam. With this technology, it is possible to obtain smooth and even surface. They will give your ceiling an extremely attractive look. Additionally, the tiles have high water resistance and their smooth surface makes them easy to clean with ordinary cleansers. All of the tiles can be painted. The tiles are about 20"x20" and are easily glued to any ceiling without any prior preparation.

| Answer: | Please refrain from using Liquid Nails. Please only use the adhesives that are recommended by the seller (Antique Ceilings Inc.) and read the provided installation instructions. You can also call Antique Ceilings with any questions regarding the installation at 1-866-988-4537. The two adhesives that we recommend are: Soudal 50A sold by Antique Ceilings. It can be found at Amazon.com (search for Item: B00FXEPB1G or B013KY2X8E), AntiqueCeilings.com and eBay. It is sold exclusively by Antique Ceilings and specifically imported to be used with the foam ceiling tiles. Acryl Pro from Home Depot is an alternative adhesive.
