Answer:	The bag seals with a bit of biodegradable cotton string. The bag itself disintegrates when touched by even the slightest moisture, so you will have to ship it in a moisture-proof container, with a note on top to warn the navy not to get the inside bag wet before the “burial”. It will need to be put in the water gently. That said, this bag worked beautifully in the water. It sank immediately leaving no trace on the surface. We knew that the ashes were released because the little string tie did appear after a minute or two. Deepest sympathy for your loss.

Answer:	I have no idea! It should not be used to transport ashes. Please use an urn or a box, and consult your carrier about how to travel safely with remains.

Answer:	These bags work well but don’t put the ashes into them until maybe the night before you plan to do your ceremony. They will begin to disintegrate if you get ANY moisture on them. You get multiple bags- use one to test, filled with garden soil , in a bucket of water. After I tested one of mine, I used another for the ashes of a 180 pound man, transporting them to the release site in a waterproof container. Once the bag was in the water, it took less than five minutes before we saw only the small piece of biodegradable cotton string rise to the surface. I hope that this helps!

Answer:	The industry standard size for a single adult urn is around 200 cubic inches, which will generally hold any individual who weighed 200 lbs or under. Rule: 1 pound of healthy body weight generally equals 1 cubic inch of cremated remains. My mom was 120 and we had A LOT of room.

Answer:	I would say it floated for 1-2 minutes, but not much longer. We had time to throw out some flowers. It might have floated longer except it started collapsing in on itself which made the top pop off due to the pressure. After that it was gone in seconds. As our biggest concern was wind issues, we were please with the purchase. It reminded me very much of paper mache.

Answer:	I would think indefinitely AS LONG AS THE URN STAYS COMPLETELY DRY. This is really just a paper mache urn which is intended to dissolve within about 5-10 minutes of entering the water. It worked perfectly for honoring our family member.

Answer:	Yes, a safe rule to follow when selecting an urn size is 1lb before cremation = 1 cubic inch capacity needed. This urn has a capacity of 220 cubic inches so it can be used for a person that was up to 220lbs. There are other variables that affect the amount of cremated remains, so if you are still uncertain about this size, it may help to wait until you have the cremated remains back from the crematory and calculate their actual volume in the temporary container (LxWxH). The Urn is 200 cubic inches, made of clay and cotton, and 100% biodegradable. The clay and cotton pick up every detail and the leaves on “The Lily at Peace” are lifelike. It will float briefly, then sink gracefully and break down naturally over time. 9 leaves are placed in a circle to create an astonishing large 21 inch length across custom urn. Simply place a loved ones ashes in a biodegradable water soluble bag that is included. Then place the bag in the bowl. The bowl attaches to the bottom of “The Lily at Peace” with biodegradable glue and clips. Remove the clips before burial. The bowl has a 5” flat base so “The Lily at Peace” can beautifully sit on display during a ceremony. The bowl has an additive that is 100% biodegradable and allows it to be buoyant in water so it can float briefly before gradually descending. To achieve Optimum float time: gently shake urn back and forth to evenly distribute the weight as it may have settled unevenly during transportation. Gently place in water with 2 hands, allowing only the bowl to touch the water. The float time varies, depending on amount of ashes and water condition. Depending on water condition, it can float anywhere from about 30 seconds (rough water) to over 3 minutes (calm water). The urn can be used for ground burial as well. Question:	Is this large enough to fit the cremains of two adults
Answer:	No. The bowl holds about 200 cubic inches. The general rule for cremation is you need 1 cubic inch per pound of the adult.
Question:	Do you have a smaller size
Answer:	The Lily fits into a box that is 24 x 24 x 7. It holds 200 cubic inches. If you are looking for an urn that floats on water, the Floral Lily still holds 200 cubic inches but fits into a box that is 20 x 20 x 8. So the shipping box is smaller, but it holds the same amount. There are biodegradable boxes "Flower at Peace" that holds 300 Cubic Inches but is only 10”L x 6.5”W x 4 3/4”H and is 100% biodegradable. You can place the box in the water, but it will not float.
Question:	Will this hold a 300 or so lb person
Answer:	My loved one was 6'1" tall and appeared to have lost no height by the age of 86 even though he was down in weight to 120 due to lung disease. The undertaker rep told me his were the heaviest cremains she can remember. Then she said this was because he must have had a lot of bones which were very dense yet. Thus, the point I make while trying to not be insensitive to your loved one, is that the ash that remains post cremation is due to the minerals in the bones. I hope I am remembering correctly, but I think the cremains in the simple box weighed 9#; thus even though it was much heavier than usual, there was more than enough room in this Driftwood Urn and the burial at sea was very gratifying.

Answer:	Regardless of someone's weight you recieve approximately 7.5 pounds of cremains. This urn is a keepsake and only holds less tha 3 tablespoons of cremains.
