Your feet will get wet. But, I'm guessing you're asking if the materials are water resistant and won't break down much like leather, etc. will if exposed to water over long or repeated periods. If the latter is your question then yes, they seem to be designed to wear on the beach while walking in shallow water. In fact, that's why we bought them for our son. They've been wet several times and are holding up very well. I don't see where the exposure to water will cause them to break down over time.
