| Answer: | No. You can see in the photo that the stand has an open area in the center. That opening leaves the digital display visible when the stand is in the closed position. The control buttons, however, ARE covered when the stand is flipped over the front. I suppose it could be considered unprotected in the closed position, but it is exactly what I needed for the application that prompted my purchase. It would be easy to slide a piece of thin protective cloth or other material between the stand and the face, if there is a concern about scratches during travel. |

| Answer: | Yes! In the normal mode, press and hold "CLOCK" key for 2 seconds until the time zone flashes. Press "UP" or "DOWN" key to set the desired time zone. Press "CLOCK" key again until the Year digit flashes and repeat the same operation that was used to change the time zone. Continue to press "CLOCK" until the calendar and time areas appear. Use the "UP" and "DOWN" until you reach the desired settings. Press and hold the "CLOCK" key for 2 seconds to save and exit the settings. You have manually set the clock. If you do not want to receive the radio signals that will automatic set the clock, there is a switch in the battery compartment on the right side that should be moved to the off position. |

The advertising picture is a phony. To make the clock readable in darkness, I made a bracket with led's to light the front of the clock. so I can read it at night. The only good thing I can say is that it does keep accurate time. |

| Answer: | During the daylight savings switchover, we get lots of emails from customers asking how daylight savings switches over on their clocks. As long as your clock has a DST (daylight savings time) feature and it is on, then it will likely switch within the next 24-48 hours. Ensuring you have the clock set to the correct time zone will also help. If your daylight savings time has not yet switched, you must check to make sure you have a Marathon clock with the DST feature. If yes, you must switch the DST setting to ON or AUTO instead of OFF or OF. If you do not, then you must manually move the time an hour forward using the MODE or TIME SET button. Every clock is slightly different, if you have difficulties locating this feature, please find the SKU starting with CL, and once you have that SKU go to our website at www.marathonwatch.com, where you will be able to find your clock on our page and view/download the manual. Most of the time it's fine, but at certain times of the day (depending on the sunlight) it's hard to read. There is no automatic back light. It's just a button on top and stays on for 5 - 10 seconds. This is really a desk clock, not a bedside clock. If you want a bedside with auto-back light, look at the CL030051BK. |

Measuring at just 3.7 x 3.7 x 2.4 inches it’s a small sized clock, but does and shows quite a lot. | Answer: | Yes, on the back side near the top edge there are 3 evenly spaced slots which you can use to affix / attach the clock to the wall. Simply measure the spacing between the slots, make your marking on the wall where you want to mount and gently tap 3 small nails or use plastic inserts and a small screw combination. Important to ensure the nail head or screw head are small enough to easily slide into the slot. After the small nails or small screws are installed on the wall, simply align your clock with the wall connectors and slide the clock into position. It is useful to use all three slots when mounting for it keeps the clock level horizontally. Good luck, it's a great clock and a quality product. |
