Answer:	The colors depicted in the pictures are 100% accurate. Please note that the burl and travertine models just recently added to this line, therefore there are not many reviews of these models.

Answer:	Unfortunately, mine never worked. The sellers were more than helpful by refunding my money being as though it was out of stock and could not be exchanged. It's a really nice quality clock. Looks like authentic stone. I believe it could withstand the heat but not in direct sunlight. Hot dry air is one thing, but that AZ sun is something else. I hope this was helpful.

Answer:	We have it hanging on our deck railing - we've had lots of rain recently, but only 3 days of below freezing temps at night. However it's still running great - can't guarantee it will thru the rest of the winter (we are in PA) but so far so good. It is very attractive, we love it.

Answer:	Thank you for your purchase. The instructions should be on the box. If you do not have it, you read the markings that are on the lowest sphere of the group on top. This is the one that tells you the temperature.

Answer:	I would think it would adjust to wherever it was placed. I bought mine when I was at sea level and now I've moved to a higher altitude. Works just fine.

Question:	How do you get the tube into the barometer? I can only get it in part way before it gets stuck
Answer:	It is best to wet the outer tube to reduce the friction. Next, push the tube in and out of the spout making small progress each time. Eventually it will make its way into the vessel but it does take some time and patience. I hope this helps.

Answer:	Mine was snug too when I first got it and there are times when it isn't. My guess is there was too much humidity there is in the air. You can give it a couple days and see if it shrinks down or try and take some sand paper and open the cut out a little.

Besides, to get the same readings as reported by the local airport or National Weather Service, you have to adjust it to compensate for your precise altitude above Mean Sea Level. You do this by adjusting the calibration screw on the back to match what the nearest weather station barometric pressure, which is already adjusted to the local altitude. Altimeters are actually barometers. The higher you go the lower the pressure. So if you don’t adjust the lower pressure to show what the barometer would read if you were at sea level, the readings would be meaningless as far as “lows” and “highs” are concerned. The adjustment is delicate so you need to tweak it back and forth over a period of time until it consistently matches up with what your local NWS station reports.

The Galileo Thermometer: The Galileo thermometer consists of a sealed glass tube that is filled with water and several floating bubbles. The bubbles are glass spheres filled with a colored liquid mixture. Attached to each bubble is a little metal tag that indicates a temperature. These metal tags are calibrated counterweights. The weight of each tag is slightly different from the others. Since the bubbles are all hand-blown glass, they aren't exactly the same size and shape. The bubbles are calibrated by adding a certain amount of fluid to them so that they have the exact same density. So, after the weighted tags are attached to the bubbles, each differs very slightly in density (the ratio of mass to volume) from the other bubbles, and the density of all of them is very close to the density of the surrounding water. Answer:	You don’t have to remove the storm glass all you have to do to reset it is to evenly heat the glass tube with a blow drier tilt it on its side and mix the crystals back into the liquid just don’t over heat the glass tube. If you remove it from the wooden frame you might damage the wooden frame or break the storm glass. Hope this helps

Answer:	You know, when you get a good answer to your question let me know. According to directions, you can dissolve the crystals with a hair blower. Yes, the crystals will dissolve. However, the crystals reform. The temp. balls work well. This item sits on top of my fireplace. This item is nice but not functional for what I purchased for. :(

Answer:	There are 5 bulbs in the thermometer with the degrees of 80, 76, 72, 68 and 64. The temperature is determined by the lowest floating bulb in the thermometer except for when all the bulbs sink, the temperature is over the highest bulb.
Question:	How full should I fill the water in the globe? (I lost my instructions
Answer:	Thank You! I have had this for several years now and the globe's water had evaporated. I too, lost the instructions. Use distilled water to prevent any hard water build up. I put the globe on its side with the glass tube upright sitting on a sponge. That way, the end bottom was lifted an 1/2 inch or so, and fed the the syringe tube to the bottom, that way, the air escaped and it was easy to fill. Took about 4 syringe fillings.
