Before starting, insert a AA battery. Locate the two dials on the movement above the battery compartment

Step 2

Gently pull out the smaller dial at the top center of the movement.

Turn the dial to rotate the day-hand to the approximate time of the correct day.

Push the dial back in.

If the dial is not pushed all the way in, the hand will not advance.

Step 3

Turn the large dial at the lower right of the movement to make fine adjustments to the day hand. For precision, we suggest calibrating the fine adjustment at noon or midnight.

Troubleshooting Guide

DayClocks typically run many years without fail. If a clock hand does not advance after a fresh battery has been installed, please take the steps below.

1. If you put your ear next to the movement (the little black box where the battery goes) and you can hear it ticking, check the small adjustment dial in the upper center of the movement. If the dial is not pushed in all the way, the hand/s will not advance. Pull the dial out, then push it all the way in and twist a little until it clicks.
2. If you put your ear next to the movement and do not hear ticking, reach out to us and we’ll get your DayClock ticking again

Question:	how accurate is the clock
Answer:	Today is June 12, 2019, 4:50 pm.......my clock is saying it's June 11, 9:45 PM. I just tossed it in the trash because NOW I can't even set it to the correct day and time. Also, if the power is interrupted it's suppose to return to the correct time when power resumes. No......it doesn't. And it's SO tricky to re-set the thing that a person with dementia would never be able to do it. Very frustrating.

Step 1

Before starting, insert a AA battery.

Locate the two dials on the movement above the battery compartment

Rotate the large dial to align both the hour and the minute hands to 12.

Step 2

Gently pull out the small dial. If the current time is before noon, rotate the day hand to the line next to yesterday, and if it’s afternoon select the line next to tomorrow. Push the

small dial back in until it clicks.

If the dial is not pushed all the way in, the hand will not advance.

Step 3

Rotate the large dial so the hands move clockwise for AM settings or counterclockwise for PM settings to the current time.

Troubleshooting Guide

DayClocks typically run many years without fail. If a clock hand does not advance after a fresh battery has been installed, please take the steps below.

1. If you put your ear next to the movement (the little black box where the battery goes) and you can hear it ticking, check the small adjustment dial in the upper center of the movement. If the dial is not pushed in all the way, the hand/s will not advance. Pull the dial out, then push it all the way in and twist a little until it clicks.
2. If you put your ear next to the movement and do not hear ticking, reach out to us and we’ll get your DayClock ticking again.

Answer:	Controls are on the back of the clock. Use the horizontal arrows, left or right to the correct location of what needs to be changed. Then use the vertical arrows, up and down to set the correct hour,minures, time zone etc. . By unplugging and replugging in the clock should reset to the correct day, date and year.

Question:	Can the preset cycle start times be changed? i'm afraid my husband would think "pre dawn" means "nearly time to get up
Answer:	The cycles are pre-set & cannot be changed. Our clock says "Before Dawn" (not Pre Dawn). The tricky part is that after Midnight, the Day & Date changes to the next day. Technically, anything after 12:00 midnight would be "Morning". Since displaying the word 'Morning' would really be too confusing for many seniors & may cause many people to get up out of bed, we carefully chose the words "Before Dawn" to hopefully pre-empt this problem. If you want a clock to say NIGHT all night long until it's actually time for your loved one to get up, we would recommend getting the Dementia Day Cycle Clock. It will not give the exact time, it would read: "Now it's Thursday Night" all through the night until whatever time you set it to switch to "Now it's Friday Morning". The cycles on that clock can be changed.
