Answer:	Yes, they can. I've grown marigolds from seed in pots as well as in the ground. They're pretty hardy and animals don't bother them; they don't like the scent.

Answer:	Uhmmm sorry, “The plants do not repel honeybees, Marigolds and honeybees go together like beans and rice. So increase your marigolds and honeybees will come flocking.” And although they don’t attract wasp they don’t repel them either.

Answer:	I assume you’ve never grown them? From planting indoors, 2 months before the last frost. Plant outside. So from planting about 2 1/2 months! But planting like this they turn into very large plants, nothing like the store bought ones, I had a couple that were huge last summer. They bloom all summer, needing dead headed.

Answer:	Wild types of marigold are perennial plants (live more than 2 years). Cultivated marigold is an annual plant (it completes its life cycle in one year). I am not aware if this is cultivated or wild picked seeds. But depending on which, I would assume one type can withstand colder temps and possibly sprout / grow late winter. I have sprouted with success 100% of the seeds I used, say 30 - 50 during this month. I plan on growing them indoors. as it will drop below freezing here. I used potting mix with a well draining container. (They sprout within 2-5 days for me, 2-3 inches in soil) the temps here atm are 70F during the day 49F at night. I'm growing these in my garage so lets say 65F day - 55F night. I have a light on them constantly but its well below full sun range, so I'm doing a 24/7 test.

Answer:	No do not buy these! I had to go to the store and buy packets of marigolds because ONE came up out of 50 or more seeds planted! So once again my marigolds are late because these didn’t germinate!

This Marigold¡¯s fuzzy silvery foliage grows in a neat clumping / mounding habit with its large 1 ¨C 2¡± flowers held on stalks above. Its bright yellow blooms can begin to open as early as March, continuing all season long into the fall. The Desert Marigold is also a larval host for the Desert Marigold Moth.
