Answer:	I recently insulated a 14’ x 20‘ workshop attachment on my garage. I got this heater and before I bought a big tank I tried it on a 10 pound tank from my grill. It was set on number one setting the temperature outside was in the 30s and I got 64 hours out of it holding just over 60°. So I figure a 20 pound bottle should last me little over five days. So I’m going to get a 30 pound bottle that way I only have to refill about once a week. Warmer weather less often, I hope this helps.

Answer:	Quick math says about 17 hrs on full tank. This heater has a high and low output, controlled by the thermostat, not the user. One gallon propane would last approx 4 hours. A full 20 lb tank holds about 4.5 gallons.
Question:	how long does it last on a small propane tank
Answer:	The 1# tank will ice up and slowly turn off the heater on anything but the lowest setting. That lasts about 2 hours. A little buddy heater with 4K/9K Btu works best with the 1# cylinders. I have the hose hookup for a 20# tank and it's nice to have the option of using either size. You have to light this one with a lighter which is just another thing to forget to pack.
Question:	Just tried to make coffee on it and the grill started to collapse is there a sturdier grill for it
Answer:	As far as I know... No. A simular thing happened to me. I reattached the grill using good old fashioned wire hanger twisted. This was only a temporary fix.
Question:	Did anyone get the "foot" for the 1 lb. bottles and is it a worthwhile add-on
Answer:	Not sure what you're referring to. The one lb. bottle hangs suspended when connected. I wouldn't recommend getting this model. Get the model MH12C if you can. The regulator broke after a couple months and I couldn't return it. Instead I bought the regulator that was for the MH12C and adapted it to fit the MH15C. Since then it's been working great for a year. I also recommend purchasing the hose adapter so you can run off a 20 lb. bottle. It'll last a lot longer

Answer:	I would use a 20 amp circuit with 12 ga wire but there are no inrush concerns with a resistive load. A heating element does not have a higher initial current draw like a motor. It draws 1440 watts or 12 amps at 120v. Since 14 ga wire must be fused for 15 amps, this device by itself is already at 80% of the circuit’s capacity.

Answer:	I own the 20000 BTU unit has a pilot that is manually lit by piezo. Pilot can be turned off when heating not needed. I can't speak for the rest but suspect they work the same way.

2、The exhaust and top will get hot, please check around area for flammables, especially gasoline or other vapors which may ignite. Please make sure there are no foreign objects around the portable tankless water heater or have fallen into the top.

Answer:	you can overlap it and always leave extra 6inches at the beginning and end to wrap around faucet end and leave enough on the opposite end to reach and feel if working
Question:	Has anyone installed a shower head with an on/off button? wondering if the unit will shut off when water is stopped on the shower head end
Answer:	This type is using power constantly but it does automatically adjust to the temperature. Mine works great. I just unplug mine in spring and plug it back in in late fall.

Answer:	I wrapped it under the insulation tape and it worked fine for me all last winter without freezing.

Answer:	You can mount this model to the floor but requires the purchase of compatible legs (not included but available). It has safety recommendations in the user manual about safe locations for use (e.g., 3ft from curtains or furniture, whether your space will require additional ventilation, etc). You could look up the manual for more information.
Question:	Set on high, how many pounds will this use an hour
Answer:	Depending on your need and outside ambient temperature, it has been very useful for me. I have an outside patio that is my daily environment for TV and smoking, it works very well. Depending on the outside temperature (24-49) I use about 1- 20lb propane tank every 8-14 days, depending upon how warm I want to feel (65-70 degrees). It breaks down to about 2-3 dollars a day. Well worth the cost.

The heater only operates when a hot water tap is turned on. Without a tank of water to always keep hot, you’ll use up to 50% less propane. A 20 pound tank of propane will provide approximately 940 gallons of hot water.



The RV-550 also has true automatic gas modulation, which means that it self-adjusts the gas usage based on variations in water flow and incoming water temperatures. This allows consistent temperature control without overheating the water in the summer or not heating it enough during colder weather.



It uses less than 1.5 amps of power in normal operation, and about 3 amps when the cold weather protection is activated.

Question:	How many units can be plugged in before breaker trips
Answer:	Short answer is maybe 2, but 2 can still trip your breaker if its on the same circuit (each room is typically a different circuit) and running at 100%. This depends on your circuit, most are 15A or 20A. Loosely the math is 120V * 15A = 1800W. In the 1800W scenario you can have 1.8 of these units running at full capacity. At 120V * 20A = 2400W you can have 2.4 of these heating units at full capacity. Given you may have other appliances in the room on the circuit you might not be able to run 2 of these units if that is the case. Best bet is to get one for each circuit (typically by room) or move up to the 1500W model for each circuit.

Answer:	I have used this heater continuously for a few weeks. In a small uninsulated area approximately 200 sq. ft. it has done very well. very simple to operate and safe, light and easy to mount it will cost you the use of 110v outlet.
Question:	dimensions and what power supply
Answer:	It is small but powerful for it's size. It's about two feet high and a foot and a half wide, only a few inches deep. It mounts on the wall in just a couple minutes, very easy to put up. I use a couple space heaters in my small home because it's old and doesn't have a central heat source. There are two, small electric base board heaters for the whole house and the space heaters do a good job of compensating. I live up north and we are experiencing wind chills of up to 50 below zero at times. On those INSANELY cold days it does take two space heaters to heat our home. However, when the temperature is up to 20 above or more, the Heat Storm does fine on it's own.

Question:	How long will 20lb propaine last on lowest setting in insulated room
Answer:	Say a 10' x 10' room; about 12 to 16 hours. You MUST have some fresh air coming into the room or the O2 depletion will shut the heater off. Propane need air to burn just like most flames.
Question:	Is this safe in a 300 square foot cabin as the sole source of heat
Answer:	This is very large for a room of that size. I would recommend the 20,000 BTU model. That is ASIN B01DPZ5B3. These are designed as supplemental heat but it could be used for your application.

Answer:	You must use an external regulator. You need some other hardware if you are going to use it on the floor. Answer:	Yes as long as there is enough oxygen. Oxygen above 12000 feet altitude becomes thin and supports combustion less efficiently.

Answer:	Yes, but you will need to add a regulator between the heater and the 20 pound tank for safety

Answer:	It does NOT have a thermostat, settings are either high or low. It will NOT turn on and off on it's own when reaching certain temperatures, it even says its NOT thermostat controlled in the manual.

There are two types of vent free heaters, blue flame (or convection heat) and Infrared (or radiant heat). The difference in these types of heat are how the warm.
