Unit housing contains a corrosion resistant stainless steel finish. Includes an electrical enclosure assembled internally to one end of the heater housing and 6” long lead wires for direct field connection. There is no cord, thermostat, switch or remote included with this heater. We recommend wiring this unit to a properly sized line voltage thermostat; for indoor use our model ET9D4TS, outdoor use our model TW155A. | Answer: | This is a 240V Direct Wire heater. I have installed mine on a 30 amp double pole switch which leviton sells. It is wired directly into my panel with armored 12 guage wire with a 20 amp double pole breaker. We turn it on when we are on the patio, we turn it off when we are done. So, there is no remote. There may be heater control units that can handle the 12 amp 240V current needed to run this heater but you would need to do research. |
