Answer:	The main thing to know is that no matter what the specs says, this "Heater" will not heat up a whole house. The unit provides maybe an increase of 5 to maybe 10 degrees difference in temp for about 300 to 400 square feet. So since my gas furnace cost more then electrical heat, I can set my thermostat to about 65 degrees and the Optimus set on high, and set not to go off, will keep that area of the house at about 70 to 75 degrees. Allowing me to save by not heating the whole house so much. I think it should be placed where the front of the unit can be face towards an open wide area of the room, and for best results maybe used in a room that can be somewhat sealed from the rest of the house.

Question:	I live in a uninsulated 2 car garage. Would this heater be powerful enough to warm a 40°F space through the night into the morning
Answer:	I suppose that would also mean you are warmly dressed or have plenty of covers if you are sleeping there and how tight the garage is. If you run it all the time at the highest power it will eventually heat the room to a point where you won't be freezing during the day, and at night for sleeping it will be plenty warm. I move mine wherever I need it as the parabolic mirror points the heat right at you. So if I move from the sofa to the big chair at the opposite side of the room I turn or even move the heater. The cord is long enough so that you can move it around without unplugging it every time you move it. Usually I do not want to heat the whole room which is very large, bigger than your garage, and I do not want to use the heat pump to attempt to do so. No portable heater will have more than 1500 BTUs, this one will put the heat where you want it unlike most which just heat the air right around it.

Answer:	I have the same problem with this heater also. It shuts down after just a few minutes on high and doesn't come back on until it cools down and then you have to manually turn in back on at the lower setting. I am not going to try and fix it but I will solve any future problems with this fan by not ever buying another one and I would not recommend this fan to anyone....It is very annoying!

I am unsure I never looked into that. But with these types of heaters the thermostat is so cheap they normally burn out in a year or less. So I replace them with a digital thermostat that you can can set in C or F. The thermostat I use has a wired prob that i can mount half way up the wall to sample the temperature at waist high so the heater does not make the room blazing hot up high and freezing down low. Some cutting and rewiring is required but nothing a handy man can not do.

Then you should have a metal plate with 2 holes in it. You then put the metal plate over the horse shoe clamp & make sure the horse shoe clamp goes into the holes & then you bolt the plate to the horse shoe clamps & then pop on the wheels.
