User questions & answers
Question: | I can't get it to ignite and when it ignited it will only run for about 20 mins and it goes out. message says check if hopper is out/check burn pot |
Answer: | Not sure I am understanding your question. If you are asking about the stove vents, you want to vent out a wall. |
Question: | Does this unit need a seperate 15 or 20 amp breaker |
Answer: | It is a forty pound hopper. It is a little tight, but it will hold 1 full bag of pellets. |
Question: | How loud is this stove.....I currently have an US Stove 5500M -- and although it heats well, it sounds like an aircraft engine |
Answer: | I vacuum the ashes out when the stove is cold and clean the window with a wet or damp cloth. However, I have not been able to use my stove because the door handle fell apart after only two years and they want $200.00 for a new one! |
Question: | Does it have a removable ash pan |
Answer: | There are some very wrong answers given. If you dont have a real answer, please dont answer. Yes you can run a pellet stove during a power outage. The cheapest way would be to buy a battery backup. Not sure what the min size would be , Im thinking 2000 watt up to allow approximately 15 hours of run time. Tech support should have info on this. |

flat tape for wood stove window glass
- AWP130 Self Stick Adhesive Gasket Wood Pellet Stove Window Glass Door Black Tape#0014/20
User questions & answers
Question: | How long do you have to wait, before you can use the stove again |
Answer: | if your existing rope is 3/8" , then it will work. There are several different size rope gaskets made, it should list the size for your stove in the owners manual. |
Question: | what is the width of the gasket |
Answer: | Hi- The thickness is whatever the package says it is. Usual thicjnesses ae 5/16", 3/8". 7/16", 1/2"...whatever the package says. The gasket may look toioi thick but it will compress depending on how you use it. |
Question: | I need the window gasket for the Lopi Answer wood heater |
Answer: | I don't know! What is the diameter of the current door glass? You have to replace it with the same size gasket. It should be in the manual that came with the stove??? You can also go online and google Lopi 380 door glass gasket and something should turn up. Good luck! |
Question: | What is the heat rating on the adhesive |
Answer: | Well Jenna, Hard to say, the difference between the Most gap & Least gap is the question. The gasket does compress some, so it will compress in the smaller area, but will it then be thick enough to seal the larger area? If you installed it & get a door imprint all the way around that would show success. They do make a 1/2 inch diameter which may make more difference in these clearances. Note up front: the glue is tricky to work with & hardens quickly, I suggest having some toss away pressing/placing type tools (like Chopsticks) before you start, to position, hold & sometimes stretch the rope keeping in mind: the most space will be removed when the rope is NOT stretched but pushed closer together on itself & least when the rope is stretched. Test: Take some clay or bubble gum and place a wad in the largest opening & the smallest opening, then check the difference, if the Difference is Less than 3/8 you should be ok, if it's more you may experience some leakage which may Not be a big problem keeping in mind that you must allow air to enter the stove to burn, you may negate the air leaking by with the closing of the air vents, however if there's too much air flow you may Not be able to control the fire, be careful there, to test this: after installing the gasket get a fire going well & with the air supply vents closed completely close the door and see if the fire dies down, if so you should be good if not you probably won't be able to control a larger fire. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can i use this for smokers |
Answer: | I’m not sure. I bought one in what I thought was the correct measurement, but when it arrived it was not the measurement listed on the website. It was also supposed to have adhesive on it to self stick. The adhesive was dried out and wouldn’t stick at all. I ended up going to a fireplace dealer with my old gasket and our stove make and model to get the correct one. Ordering this saved me neither time, money nor aggravation. |
Question: | How long for adhesive to dry |
Answer: | Yes, it is quite thick. I used it to fill a void between a fireplace vent and a brick wall. |
Question: | does the 1/2 inch pellethed gasket work on a austraflame pellet stove insert or does it have to be austraflame brand |
Answer: | Please restate your question and I will do my best to answer it |
Question: | my glass on my classic bay 1200 door is loose. What should I use to seal it |
Answer: | They claim it's made in the USA. |

Pro Tip: When it’s time to clean the firepot, flip the igniter toggle to manual and turn the temp dial all the way down to 50. Wait 30 minutes till there is a very small fire in the burn pot. Open the door and scrape the burn pot while it’s hot. The build-up will break up easier, less will fall through to the igniter area and you can scrape all the way into the throat of the burn pot. Once complete, crank it back up to your desired temp setting. New fuel coming in will push the scraped build-up over the edge into your ash pan. Be aware that there will probably be a bit of ‘sparks’ flying around as the flame picks back up; this is completely normal.
17″ long handle, approx 1 1/2" Wide. Drop forged steel hardened tip; 52 Rockwell hardness. Designed to last forever.
Heavy duty elongated handle with dipped rubber grip. Angle provides more torque allowing effective firepot/burnpot/grate cleaning with less force.
- Upgraded Burnpot Scraping Tool for Harman Stoves and Inserts
- Features a heavy duty elongated handle with dipped rubber grip. Angle provides more torque allowing effective firepot cleaning with less force.
- 17″ long handle keeps your hands outside the firebox; easier for cleaning while the unit is in operation
- Drop forged steel hardened tip; 52 Rockwell hardness- Won’t round off over time like the factory scraper – Built to last forever!
User questions & answers
Question: | Do you have to purchase extra scraper ends |
Answer: | you should have screws with brackets that hold the glass in, however it only takes 1/8 of a turn to make it too tight and break the glass. Take the door off and bring it to your local repair for glass or wood stoves |
- Perfect high temp self stick tape.
- 1000f fiberglass.
- Also good for fireboxes.
- 1/8" x 5/8" x 8'
User questions & answers
Question: | Where is this manufactured |
Answer: | I would say eventually yes. There is only so many times you feel like putting an edge on your scraper. I broke down and bought a new one this year. I still use my old one as well. This is my 4th winter with my pellet stove. I also have to say that my stove is my main heating source for my entire house. We have a heat pump, and they suck. So there is always alot of scraping and cleaning of my stove. |
Question: | WhichPropane stove window gasket should I get |
Answer: | I am currently using it on my smoker without any issues. |
Question: | Is this for around the glass or to seal the door |
Answer: | I let mine dry for roughly 24 hours. |
Question: | Does this come in a 7/8" width |
Answer: | Just has to be the rite thickness |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will this blower replace the blower in my regency i1200s? if not, do you have the right blower |
Answer: | I'm not sure if this will help you or not. We use this on our Timberline stove. It flattened out after a few days. Of course, it is tightly latched. I don't think this would flatten out without the door being latched. Hope that makes sense. 😏 |
Question: | How does it mount? Velcro or magnets |
Answer: | You'll have to do a little research, either your owners manual or maybe the manufacturer's website might be able to provide gasket dimensions. |
Question: | I have a heat and glo sl-750tr-ipi-e will this fit |
Answer: | This answer may be late, but might help others shopping. If it says 7/8 inch you should replace with 7/8. I tried a 1 inch when I couldn't find 7/8 and was shocked to discover the 1 inch was considerably larger around than the supposed 1/8 inch difference would suggest. I did get it to fit snuggly, and thought incorrectly that the extra snug fit was a good thing, but I was wrong. My whole house smelled of burning wood. I thought there was no way this thing was leaking as tight as it was, and thought something else must be wrong, like a chimney leak. But when I replaced, out of desperation, the 1 inch with a special order 7/8, low and behold! Fixed! |
Question: | We are looking to purchase vicool gfk 160 fireplace blower kit. Is it compatible with heat n glo em41 wood burning fireplace |
Answer: | I used the standard 5/16” rope version on my jotul. Works beautiful. |
Product features
Why do we need to use blower fans?
Without using blower fans, the air just flow around the ceiling and the area near the stove. But after having blower fans, the movement of air will help warm the whole room, not just the area near the stove. It means installing a fireplace blower fan allows you to recover other lost heat by helping to distribute the heated air your fireplace produces.Helps reduce costly energy bills, expanding the heating range, heats large rooms efficiently.
How blower fans work efficiently?
The Blower Fan can help heating cool room air and push this heated air back out of the fireplace, typically through a vented or louvered opening on the top of the fireplace to achieve the purpose of heating the whole room air. When the temperature reached 120ºF, the blower start. It will slow down and stop as the fireplace cools.Whether the blower starts or not depends on the internal temperature of the fireplace. You can control whether the blower starts or not by controlling the switch of the fireplace.
It is best choice for quiet and comfortable
Winter always comes silently, it seemingly never ending season of cold weather, snow drifts, and iced locks make us unbearable. But this doesn't mean your time spent indoors must be spent in the cold as well.We are committed to creating a warm, quiet and comfortable atmosphere to keep you away from the cold and maintain a good mood indoors in winter. In the comfortable environment, you can do whatever you want.

User questions & answers
Question: | Will this fit the dutchwest 2462 extra large size |
Answer: | This will work and fit. Has all the gear with it to be as good or better than the regancy product.good blower, id get it. Needs about 4"s tall to install. |
Question: | Does the kit include basic instructions, namely, which gasket goes where |
Answer: | It has rubber feet on the bottom and Velcro tape for the back side. Its easy to install. Took me about an hour to mount my fan since I didn't have a hole for the speed control. But, it works great and quiet, since I need to only run my fan at half speed. Good luck on the install... |
Question: | will this kit work with the smaller 2460 model |
Answer: | I put your heat and glo number in and it came up with the same fireplace blower so I would have to say yes. I am very happy with the fireplace blower that I purchased and it took about 20 minutes to install. Enjoy |
Question: | Will this kit work on a whitfield model wp2 insert? we need to replace the glass, door, & ash door gaskets |
Answer: | I don’t know the answer but you can do an internet search for a manual of the gas insert you own. Then find the part name and number. Then do another search for the part. If you find it online, you probably should find a reputable, experienced fireplace installation shop to do the work. Since you don’t know how to find a compatible fan, you may well not have the expertise to replace the fan if you find one. Bargaining for use of your own part may be your best approach. Good luck. |
