I loved this tool so much I bought as an adult, I am 61 years old. I use it as a really strong grabber....I do not have a fireplace, but I do like bonfires.......

Answer:	Not at all, it’s long enough so not near fire while flipping logs. Unless you leave it in the fire for a very long period of time.

Answer:	I had the same problem where the threaded rod was too small a thread for the nut or the top handle. I retuned the entire set for a refund.

Answer:	I don’t see why not if you’re replacing a 26x8x12 with a 26x8x12. Now the tread design on the XL is different than a ACT Tire which is a stock tire the xl is 6ply and the ACT I believe it’s 4ply
