Answer:	Not at all, it’s long enough so not near fire while flipping logs. Unless you leave it in the fire for a very long period of time.

Answer:	Hi, I would make sure the flueblocker you buy is at least a half inch bigger than flue opening. The first one we bought was the same size as the opening and it kept falling out. Hope that helps. For instance, if flue opening is 10-1/2 inches I would get 11 inch flueblocker. It works great with the right size.
Question:	My fireplace is 34" wide x 28.5 high with a 1/2' lip inset about 5.5 inside the outer wall. Will it fit
Answer:	I am not 100% sure what you are referring to from your question, but correct me if I am misunderstanding your question. It sounds like you removed the gas logs and put decorative fire glass in its place? With a vented Gas log fireplace you should have the flue vent open any time you are burning gas OR even running the gas (like a pilot light). This applies regardless if you have fake logs or fire glass. Please keep in mind also that many gas burners are specifically designed for certain fake logs stacked in a certain way. You should check with the gas log manufacturer to make sure it can function with the fire glass.

Answer:	I would go with the 9" round Flueblocker. Its actual dimension is a 10" diameter. That makes it a snug fit in a 8" round flue. If you find it too snug, you can always trim 1/2" off the edge with a sharp pair of Scissors.

Answer:	Good morning. Thank you for your interest in our Large Crest Flat Guard Fireplace Screen. The feet come out 8 1/4".
Question:	Can this be attached to the metal surround trim of a pellet stove insert when not operating to minimize the draft coming in
Answer:	There are "legs" if you will on the back side that stick out maybe an inch to 1.5 inches, but those legs are offset from the center point of the back, so they are positioned in the opening of the fireplace. They are not on the bottom corners of the back opposite the front legs. So it should sit flush unless you have a lip between the hearth and the actual opening of your fireplace or unless you have glass doors covering the front of the opening of your fireplace. As long as your hearth is flush with the opening to the fireplace, they shouldn't be in the way on the backside because they are short legs, and again, are positioned where they push back into the opening of the fireplace. Our opening is 39 inches, but we are able to position the screen flush against our brick cause the back legs are more along the center of the back of the screen. Hope this helps.

Question:	How hot does it get when the fire is on? I am trying to keep the toddler from reaching the fire but if this gets super hot, it may not do me any good
Answer:	It is metal and as such will get hot. I have moved it back and forth with a fire going and not been burned. The screen sections dissipate heat quickly but honestly I would recommend a baby gate that bends to close off the area. We bought a separate “cage” type gate that disconnects from itself and hinges to bend to shape around the fireplace area. We use this screen to keep our child from playing with the fireplace when not in use. My child has tried to hit it and bang on it without it tipping over.

Question:	Is the 18in option the length of one panel? Are there height options
Answer:	I don't recommend trying it. The magnets are not strong and are on the edges so if you double up the fabric for the height it would not hold. You could just attach it to the top and purchase strong magnets for the bottom but then some of the fabric will extend onto the bricks. So, height could work but then you will have a 1/2 inch on each side that is not covered. This isn't a lot but would probably leak air. Much larger would be a problem because of doubling up weak magnets. Even on the unit I have, which is the exact size, I had to use purchased strong magnets to get a reasonable seal.
Question:	Are these black or stainless steel in color
Answer:	I have a med size blanket. Here are the measurements: 31 inches high, 42 inches wide. There are 5 magnets (2"x1") sewn in. 3 set horizontally across the top at 3 inches down from the top. The 2 side ones are 4.5 inches in from the sides. The bottom magnets are vertical and set in 1 inch from the side and 6 inches up from the bottom. The magnets hit at the frame of my screen in some places and just the screen in others, they stick well enough to hold the blanket in place. The fabric has enough body to stay up. I think the important thing is to cover the opening as completely as possible. We use our blanket almost every night we have a fire and it makes a big difference.

Answer:	The reason the blanket is so expensive is the fact that the material is totally fire resistant. It also keeps the energy in your house after enjoying a wood burning fire. I have sold thousands of these blankets and everyone loves them!

Answer:	First, I'm using this on a regular fireplace to keep the heat from the house from going up the chimney once the fire has died down. Answer:	This is meant to fit just outside the opening. My opening is about 3" smaller than this. It's the perfect amount of overlap outside.

Answer:	It is spot welded and with the right tools and knowledge I suppose it could be removed. It isn’t very unsightly and really not easily seen. If I could take a picture whT I have said would be more apparent.

Question:	When this is installed there is like a 4 inch gap in the dead center. Am I installing incorrectly or is that by design
Answer:	I hope we’re talking about the same version of the product. My screen is 18” high, so I probably have a Different size. the answer to the first question is yes. My rod is 28” wide, although I don’t remember cutting it off. As to the width, I wouldn’t bother cutting the screens. They fold nicely in whatever space is available. I have no need to stretch the screens tight, and never notice that they are wider than the 28” opening.

Answer:	Heat should pass through this screen. Black absorbs heat, so heat transfer may not be optimal. I suggest opening the screen if you want maximum heat, keep kids, animals and flammable things at least 3 feet away from fireplace.
