Answer:	You can, but the building stays up better when you use tape which is not required bcv there's tabs that fold together to hold it together. The tabs just don't work very well so we reinforced them with tape. If you did the same you'd just have to remove the tape and then it will fold up for storage. I could do it over, I'd most def just aquire a large box and build a house myself. For $25 I expected at least thicker cardboard and a more well put together building. It's flimsy
