Question:	Can I use this material (cut to size) to replace the motor filter in a older canister style Miele vacuum cleaner
Answer:	Having had tanks for many years I think it would be ok. There are two ways I have seen this type of filter used. One is in a filter that hangs on the side of the tank. I think it would work but I would still use charcoal in a bag also. My filters are a dual one with the filter like this and a bag with loose charcoal. This is more rare but I have seen this type of filter placed in the bottom and then covered with gravel. I think this isn’t a good use but that’s just me.

Answer:	You'll need one new hepa per year and four pre-filters per year. These Vevas are much cheaper than Honewell brand and fit perfectly out of the box. Seem to be the same quality.

Question:	I would like to know why these filters are made smaller than advertised, so the unfiltered air could get passed the filter
Answer:	In fact some type of Furnace use the smaller 20X25X4 filter, I was happened got such type of carrier' furnace, I went to Homedepot and bought the standard size 25x20x4 and found the filter was bigger than the slot and can't be inserted. So you must be careful and check the real size of the filter, do not think 25x20x4 are all same size. They are NOT!
Question:	Received 2 filters in plastic wrap with no markings of actual merv count. how do i know this correct filter i paid for
Answer:	In our factory, we hand assemble all of our air filters, using only one MERV filter media at a time. If we are assembling MERV 12, then only MERV 12 are boxed and marked as MERV 12. The same goes for all of our other MERVs. If you ordered a MERV different than 12, you ought to have a colored sticker on the seal of the box, as follows: MERV 7 - gray MERV 8 - purple MERV 10 - yellow MERV 11 - rose MERV 12 – blue (most common MERV; often has no sticker) MERV 13 - green MERV 14 - teal 15 – orange Our production facility in Alabama shrink wraps all the filters prior to shipping and boxing the filters. They will sometimes have a product insert inside the shrink wrap. Our production facility in Oklahoma does not shrink wrap yet. On our Nordic Pure blue & white boxes, you should have the MERV rating label located on the side of the box above the shipping label. Answer:	yes charcoal / carbon is "carbonized" in high temperature before putting on the cloth.

Answer:	No, it's a carbon filter after a period of time the carbon soaks up all of the odors it can. You can vacuum the dust off of it. After a period of time it gets disposed of. The amount of time it will last is dependent on odors in the air if there are little to no smells it should last a while, I go about a month.

Question:	How long does this last before needing to replace
Answer:	I got mine as a set in 2013. Vivosun tent, 6' exhaust fan and carbon filter, ballast, fixture and bulbs. I never thought about replacing it, I just wash the pre-filter after each grow and it works fine (inside tent). I've never had a problem with odor, but I guess I should get a new one...

Answer:	I would think that you could wash the filter cover. I've used mine for over a year and doesn't really show any dirt.
Question:	What is the CFM rating for the 6" fan and will be be sufficent enough for a 5x5x7 tent
Answer:	Your CFM for a 60 X 60 X 80 tent is about 167.5, now add another 20% of that number for your average duct length, about 33.5. You get 201 CFM when they are added. The AC Infinity 6” inline fan is 402 CFM at its highest setting (number 8). So, half of 402 is exactly 201 CFM. So, before you add a carbon filter, run your fan at half speed (number 4), and that is dead on your CFM. When you add a carbon filter, your airflow will drop about 50% of the number 4 setting, so you would turn the fan up to number 6 to compensate for the filter. 🤙🏻
Question:	What "flange" isn't included
Answer:	The way this filters work is that you can reverse the inlet/outlet flange and the base. With this filter you can remove the flat base and the flange (the flange is the part of the filter casing that you connect the flex duct to) then reconnect to the opposite sides of the filter casing. In other words exchange the locations of the base with the flange. To do this you need a Philips head screw driver to remove the Philip screws from the base and the flange then exchange there locations and replace the Philip screws. This is done to reverse the air flow through the internal filter. By doing this you extend the life of the filter.

Question:	Would this work to remove cigar smoke from the air
Answer:	This filter is specifically used to remove the smell from the air of a given space. It is not recommended for the removal of smoke as doing so would shorten the lifespan of the filter itself (since smoke is made of heavier/denser particulates than those that makeup smell.
Question:	Can this be used with 3rd party fan
Answer:	Yes, absolutely. I am using a Terrabloom fan. The flange is such that flex duct secures on it with a big hose clamp or zip tie.
