The frequency in which your humidifier will need to be cleaned will vary depending on use, water hardness and outside environmental factors. Answer:	I would not recommend this unit. The tank has to be completely removed and filled from the bottom. It does not have a flat top so it does not stand on its own to fill and can be quite heavy.

Answer:	Let me preface what I'm about to say with this will not be an answer to your question. I used to use demineralization cartridges in my humidifiers of varying makes. None of them worked well, at least with our water which is hard but nothing like in other areas of the U.S. where the water is much harder. I started buying five gallon bottles of reverse osmosis water from a local water store. Here's why-- one issue is the white dust getting all over our bedroom and breathing that stuff in. The other issue is that if using tap water, even with the cartridge, you are breathing in many chemicals that we won't drink in our house (we have an undersink filtration system for drinking water). I wrote to the CDC and there has been no research as to the long-term effects of breathing in the vapor from humidifiers. Using the reverse osmosis water, we have zero dust and don't use a cartridge, so save a little money there. If you buy 100 gallons (the give cards that they punch as you get the 5 gallon jugs refilled) at a time on sale, it's $60. For us, 100 gallons lasts the season for our larger 2 gallon humidifier. Sorry to ramble. Hope this was helpful.

If there are iron stains from your water just wipe that up regularly. If you want precise directions the machine may have came with some. This is standard cleaning for all humidifiers.

Answer:	I bought mine from Amazon. Just type in uhe-oc1 and the humidifier will come up but also the filters. They are little oval blue things. I bought mine last year and had different filters that are round, can't find those so I'm now using the blue ones. Hope this helps.

How to clean your 3-in-1 humidifier:

disconnect + turn off your humidifier tank: fill the tank with [ 1cup] of water and add [1 cup] of [bleach/undiluted White vinegar].

tank: screw cap back on and let sit for approximately 20 minutes.

tank: after the 20 minutes Remove any residue or build-up by gently shaking the mixture back and forth.

base: pour a [generous amount] of [undiluted White vinegar] into the base of your cool mist Humidifier.
