Answer:	As far as I know, As long as you use tap water and mineral water, the ultrasonic humidifiers normally do not need a filter, but the atomizer does need to be cleaned with a mixture of vinegar and water

Answer:	Not in my experience. Some condensation can collect on the top of the humidifier itself, but its honestly not powerful enough to get water anywhere else.
