Answer:	The pole is stationary, it does not turn. This is the second season with this hoop and I am very happy with it. I used to have one with a lot of metal that rusted over time and stained the pool deck. I like that this one has a plastic bottom - I don't think there will be any problems with rust stains.
Question:	Does the basketball hoop rust over time
Answer:	We've now had our complete unit 10 yrs. I finally replaced the hoop 2 yrs ago. It started cracking after about 5 years, start slight peeling and rust in yr 6 (salt water pool). I probably should have replaced after 7 yrs, it was getting pretty noticeable, but I milked it for one more year. On rim #2 - 3rd season and still looks great.
Question:	can you dunk on this rim without breaking
Answer:	I have teenage boys who play hard on this rim. I don't encourage them to dunk n hang on the rim, but it does happen. It weighs a lot when the base is full, but I still think they r a bit afraid of it falling into the pool if they hung on the rim. So they dunk without hanging. This hoop, which I took in in the winter, has held up great and we look forward to many more seasons of fun with it.
Question:	are there wheels for easy moving
Answer:	Unfortunately there are no wheels. It is very easy to move when most of the water is drained from the base but difficult if full. I tend to bring it out when I open the pool, leave it in one spot, and put it away at the end of the season. Not an issue at all for me. If you move it frequently during the season, when the base is full, it could be difficult. Great hoop though. Very happy with the purchase. 3 boys so I was concerned about durability and it stands up to them and their friends very well. Good luck!
